*During the height of the first wizarding war, the Order found themselves ambushed by a large group of death eaters. Their motive seemed aimed at eliminating Sirius Black, renowned blood traitor and stain upon “the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black”. Luckily for Sirius, Professor and Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall stepped in to fight along Sirius, both protecting him and fending off the attackers.

Later, when everything returns mostly to normal, Minerva and Sirius arrive at the marauder’s flat, both exhausted*

Minerva: Could use a bit of a cleaning spell, I see.

Sirius: Aha…I think the clutter adds a bit of charm~

Minerva: I am oddly not surprised.

Minerva: Are you thanking me for doing my duty as a dedicated Order member?

*Sirius moves to speak but Minerva cut him off*

*Minerva is amused, and flattered, but knows better than to give Sirius any sort of leeway. He’s a man to be kept on a leash, lest he roam free and cause chaos…besides, she’d get him back later*

Minerva: No you’re not, Mr. Black. 

Sirius: Yeah, not really~

Minerva: Honestly, a lady has one curl out of place and suddenly it’s time to report it to the Daily Prophet for scandalous behaviour. I am expected to maintain my Deputy Headmistress duties, teach years one through seven in Transfiguration, act as a useful member of the Order, all the while keeping myself in proper appearance and-

*Sirius interrupts*

Sirius: Yeah, but Minnie…

*Minerva is flustered and tries hard not to smile*

Sirius: Whether fresh from a brutal fight or as the belle of the ball. 

Minerva: Alright Mr. Black, that’s enough out of you.
