First con as an MMCC OM.

I attended my first con as an OM on the weekend, and despite some technical hitches early on, had a great time. Set up next to the 501st, and did some con security patrols with Captain Rex, protected our assets from a couple roving Jawa, hung out with Maul, and met the most adorable mini-Boba! 😁 🤩

Finally finished the visor and HUD install in my Scorch bucket too! It was exciting to see how many people actually recognized it. 🩵

Mini-Boba absolutely stole my heart! ❤️ She wanted a photo but was so shy! She eventually mastered her fear, like a true Mando, and we got one, but alas I do not have a copy. 😭

OMG! Daniel Logan’s little one, Kayden, is dressed like little Boba. He looks so much like Daniel when he was little Boba.

50 Lan - Milk Tea with Mini Boba

(Location: Taipei, TW)

50 Lan is super consistent, as evidenced by the fact that this milk tea tastes just like the one I had from OO Tea, their US subsidiary. The only caveat is that this tastes just like what I got at 50% sweetness at OO Tea, but it’s their 100% sweetness version here. This is more of a lesson for their US operation, which probably tried to sweeten the drink even further to fit their idea of Americans’ palates. Just stick with what works in the homeland of boba, because OO Tea’s 100% sweetness is a bit overwhelming and almost feels like powdered tea. This, though, is excellent, potent in tea flavor, and intensely (in a good way) creamy.
