Lucia got her new glasses (or lets say she swapped with another doll) and the black ones suit her so much better with the new dress.

She also lacks photos, here we go to change that.

To be honest I sat a bit on this photoset as I made the first part directly after the release of Volume 29 to digest the bonus pages and wanted to wait until the next chapter was published, then i wasn't home but I knew I needed to add a second part to this photoshoot. It could have been longer, i was really tempted to include Link and Johnny more but it was already long and I wanted to focus on Lucia and Allen here.

The weather helped me a lot with the dark light as I took Lucia's parts and then later on the whole atmosphere seemed so much friendlier, as if there truly was a change of mind.

Weekly Photo 19/2025

".... this is indeed the Zoogle Bookstore, we waited for you."

Another member of the Bookman Clan joined the crew, it's Lucia. I have no idea why but the moment I saw her design in the previews last year I knew I would just love her. The fitting doll was found fast I just waited a bit to order her to be sure.

Boxopening - Xagadoll Mini Nicole (Lucia)!

After not even 2 months little Lucia was shipped already, I am glad I am quite on par with my doll projects, she will have to wait a bit until it's her turn though as some materials need to arrive. But I am glad she's here <3 I fell for her last year in April and knew in an instant she will be Lucia.

First up the AC Item Item the doll stand and a few random eyes. Also Nicole has a teeth part :O different from Lucas who hasn't. But this makes painting her way easier.

Oof. Poor baby. Let us fix that!

And here she is <3 such a beautiful doll, she's so soft, I am very looking forward to turn her into Lucia.

Bonus:

Floating doll. Tbh i have no idea if I will use that stand but it's a nice to have.

WiP - Underskirt for Lucia

As chapter 255 got releases we see Lucia actually wears an underskirt under the black skirt and as I immediately had a need to add to an existing photoshoot I needed to make her a skirt. Also more volume for her dress would ne nice anyways.

Different from what I usually do I ... did not bother to make a pattern. I just roughly eyeballed what I needed and cut the pieces. Made the ruffles and sew everything together.

I'm once again a bit scared of myself by my ability to measure stuff correctly just by looking at it. Also this was a rather relaxing project, I wish all my sewing projects would be this easy.

Here is a little comparison without underskirt vs with underskirt, as you can see it nicely adds some volume without looking too puffed up :)

And back into the cabinet she goes.

WiP - Face up & Book for Lucia (Last Part)

And the last bits of Lucia are doing to be finished today. Painting her, giving her a manicure and then I came up with the idea to craft her a book as prop.

By now most of you know I work with very little layers and I learned a lot while I painted Katherina and I could use that expierence with Lucia now. I really like her eyebrows this time and I see myself repainting Katherina just because of the eyebrows soon.

What else can I say than that it went rather quick as she doesn't have skin texture and I got myself new face up brushes for the base blushing.

So here she is <3

And with eyes, I was able to fit in some other eyes than the pink glass ones but they are a tad too big, I ordered her new eyes, decided to go for a blue-green.

She's incredible adorable, I hope I am not completely wrong with her colors here.

As I had finished her quite early in the day I decided to make her a book for some photos.

Yes I actually did sew the pages together, I was not sure how to cover it at this point.

But I went for fabric, it was just a quickie I glued on with hot glue and then tried to paint the owl pattern on it ... eh... yeah. The owl is a bit crazy I think. lol.

WiP - Wig for Lucia

Okay this time the order is a bit messed up as Lucia showed up way earlier than I expected. I hoped we get a color reference before I get the doll but ... no. So I went and ordered fiber for her as she was shipped. All I was able to do was starting her wigcap and then decided to start with her outfit and do the wig later. As you know normally I do the wig first q.q

At least I was able to make the cap first, that counts, right?

This was how she stayed for a few days....

Until finally the fiber arrived! I got 3 different shades as I wasn't sure what I wanted to her, I settled for a tone called "Maple Syrup" and I have to say the darkness I took the most photos in is not doing the color any justice it's a red-ish brown but not too red.

You maybe can see it here, one batch was prepared before the sun set and the other as it was night already.

Anyways after prepping a bunch of wefts (... way too many) I glued them onto the cap and had to leave for work, I managed to get it almost done but had to do the parting in the afternoon.

After the parting dried I combed the wig and started to cut it... it took me forever to achieve the style I wanted as I added an own twist but didn't want weird cuts in the wig but a natural look. A sharp hairline is hard to achieve.

She looked rather poofy after I was done cutting but a bit of got2B fixed that.

And here she is finally not bald anymore <3
