Look Back Challenge

Day twenty five: tiny

Ramia started as an experiment, and is now one of my most complex small dolls. I began with two withdoll imps and ended with one. I modded them to have four arms, sculpted their breasts, gave them a full body repaint, and made their wig. I also made a tiny workshop of their brewing of potions that’s packed away somewhere.

Still haven't managed to do Vanuath's faceup, partly because I can't figure out a colour palette (as a moon elf I'm thinking blues and purples but I also don't want to make him look like he's wearing FFX Lulu's lipstick), but I have managed to paint his armour and sword, which was a surprising amount of fun, and made him a shield which was a little less fun due to the faff of using press studs to attach the straps on the back. Might need to wire his arms so he's actually strong enough to hold it though!

The metal part of the shield is the one I bought but was way too small. Haven't put his armour on yet because I need to fix one of the straps and I'm still unsure about the gold on the bracers. Kudos to the sculptors at Withdoll as the unicorns were pretty easy to paint. And kinda blurry cos my camera apparently decided to focus on Shadowheart (and who can blame it?) but the blue pommel on the sword is so pretty. Even tho I accidentally touched it while wet and had to redo it.

I was browsing around and I was looking at some older photos of my withdoll Angela. I really miss taking photos outside. My parents old house had a lot of really cool photography spots - but shortly after I moved out, they had to sell their house and downsize due to financial complications of the pandemic on their business. I really loved that house, as did my parents, though.

Their old house had a lot if privacy, but even if my house had more interesting features, I have some really nosy neighbors. I’ll need to figure out a few new good photography spots, I miss taking outdoor photos 😭 I don’t see myself taking photos in peak corn-mill season though… corn dust gets everywhere and I’m pretty sure it gets into my house sometimes as it is, too. Augh.

I do plan reshelling Angela in the future, though. I think I might use a withdoll Rachel head instead, however… hopefully withdoll reopens head orders so I can get her a supiadoll body.
