if (god forbid) byler for some reason Isn’t Canon, i honest to god need to have a sit down conversation with the duffers and finn wolfhard and ask them What The Hell Was That. especially when it comes to finn’s acting choices and directions he was given. like sooooo many questions i have considering mike wheeler’s behaviors only make sense if it’s because he’s a repressed homosexual in love with his best friend.

like—the entire van scene. even finn himself questioning why mike is so seemingly clueless and the duffers telling him that it “will pay off.”

the duffers comparing mike and eleven in s1 to elliott and ET (and only telling finn this i believe?), the airport reunion ft. mike “i don’t give a gaf” olympics loser, finn “mike is just trying to be as normal as possible” wolfhard, mike nodding in agreement with will when he says “it’s scary to open up like that (…) because what if they don’t like the truth?” etc etc.

i can go on and on and on. and this is genuinely why i don’t and will never have byler doubt. because it is the only thing that makes sense.

As exhausting as the top/bottom nonsense is, I find it honestly more exhausting how predictably if there is a more fem-presenting (esp thin, white, smaller) male character, or a masc-presenting (often butch-coded) female character, fandom loves labeling them as transmasc and transfem, respectively. Smells a bit like un-examined bioessentialism.

Like obvi trans people can present however they want because they’re just like anyone else, but it’s grating how predictable the pattern is. Come on. Let the hypermasculine male character with chest hair be transmasc. Let the hyperfeminine female character with giant tits be transfem. Elle Woods could be transfem! Use your imagination! While we’re at it, you can just hc anybody as trans. They don’t have to “pass” or conform to a gender ideal. That man can have tits. It’s okay. Come onnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Like idk just if there’s a petite, soft, sweet guy in a piece of fiction fandoms just love to say he’s transmasc. If there’s a loud, muscular, often fat or POC or both (and otherwise not fitting the white feminine gender ideal) woman in fiction people love to hc her as transfem. Aren’t you tired?

Have some random drawings that I did

Lol random rant down here. I was in a fandom dry patch for a while because my brain couldn't focus on one fandom for more than a couple of days. So nothing was working right for me---writing wise. Now tho I've gotten back into transformers after not being in the interested fandom for like ten years. I had been meaning to get back into it, but I guess the stars aligned earlier in October.

So I've finally been writing fanfics again. Not just starting stuff up and dropping it because I don't have any motivation. In total I've written just under 20k words worth in fics for the fandom. Which is wild since I've been consuming just about any fic I can get my hands on (which is ruining my sleep schedule but who cares about that, my sparkle is back baby!).

Obviously, nothing has been posted on Ao3 yet, because I am holding myself and making myself finish the majority of the fic before I even think of posting. Even if the brain worms want me to post things like the maniac I am.

I'll probably post some things about the fics I am cooking up in the shitty angstland that is my brain. I'm writing something that I keep crying about because just the thought of it is saddening. It doesn't help that I listen to sad songs while writing/getting inspo. It is a Starscream-centric fic. :)

it’s sad that we have to say shit like “if will was a girl ppl would’ve shipped mike and will from season 1” “picture will as a girl and it’s literally every romantic trope with a protective guy and vulnerable girl” or whatever because like why should we have to tell people to make shit straight so they can understand it or so that they don’t think it’s a reach or delusion? i’m tired of never getting representation and when there is an actual possibility of getting it, having to fight left and right with ppl and having to “show proof” so that people don’t say we’re delusional
