Fox Mini-bike catalog page - 1968.
A bit of advice to anyone shopping for a motorcycle, quad, side-by-side, mini bike, scooter, etc
Regardless of how "good" the price maybe, please, for your own safety, pain, and money, don't buy knock-off brands.
Don't buy "power-mini," "yamoto," or some other "sounds like a popular brand but isn't exactly the same" knock-off.
Sure, it seems tempting; a 125cc dirt bike for only 800 bucks brand new. But what you don't understand is parts.
Parts, parts, parts, parts.
Even so much as finding a spark plug to match some unknown motor from somewhere in china is going to be a nightmare, if not impossible.
Buy brand names. KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, Arctic Cat, Suzuki, kawasaki, BMW, Triumph, Ducati, Can-am, Polaris, and the like.
You can find parts. If you break it, chances are there are techs at just about any shop that has knowledge of parts and how to fix any of these brands.
Believe me, if you go into a regular retail shop and not a single person knows what the hell brand you're talking about, chances are its a cheap import and completely worthless. Do not buy it.
Save up a little, buy a brand name machine.
1. It's a little more expensive, but for one the quality is different spectrum than cheap chinese bikes.
2. parts are a snap to find, whether it's online or at a shop.
3. Most qualified mechanics have experience working on most of the common brands.
and last but not least
4. Safety is key. problem with chinese machines is quality control. the parts on most if not all of them are complete garbage. The last thing you need is parts coming off the bike or disintegrating while you are moving or while the engine is running. Trust me, it's going to be a disaster.
Save yourself the money in the long run and get a better quality machine
