The door slid shut and Padmé let out a gentle sigh. She turned around, exhausted from a long day of politics. She rested her hand on her husband’s arm as she passed by him and entered the bedroom of her apartment.

“So, who was that?” Anakin asked, his sharp and short.

“Another senator. We were discussing work.” Padmé explained softly.

“Oh?” Anakin asked, his annoyance clear in his voice. “It’s awfully late to be discussing work.”

Padmé nodded. “That’s why he went home.” Anakin only huffed in response. A moment passed and Padmé finished changing into her night clothes.

“Why did he just stay?” Anakin grumbled bitterly. “He stayed late enough.”

“Because I didn’t marry him, Ani. I married you.” She reassured, putting her hands on his arms again, leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek. “I married you, not him. I chose to spend my life with you, not him.” A soft giggle escaped her lips. “I love you, Ani.”

Anakin averted his eyes and gave a slight pout. “I love you, too.”

“Let’s sleep now, love.” Padmé replied, going to the bed and starting to turn down the sheets so they could sleep.

if anyone is ever looking for a minified list of all ISO 3166 countries and their country codes then here it is, was really surprised this doesn't seem available anywhere else. it's 9kb which is reasonable considering
