I’m so sorry for your troubles, I hope things get better. Have you considered pawning or selling things that are necessities or sentimental(if you have any) to get a little extra? We do that if we need to.
It’s been considered, yeah, but??? we don’t have shIT. I mean, my small collection of really old, torn up, dingy pokemon toys, old gundam models with missing pieces, costume jewelry, some dvds from various $5 bins...i mean, the only thing i have that’s remotely valuable is my video game collection and it’s all niche shit that wouldn’t begin to cover the amount we need even if i sold it ALL.
julian has some really cool rocks? and lots of fishing string??? our furniture has all been destroyed by cat claws, basically, so that’s out. broken printers he likes to disassemble... those aren’t even expensive models to begin with though so...
i mean, i’d already sold my car (for gas money for julian’s car lmao), pawned my guitar, sold any expensive art supplies i had left, all my musical instruments, antique dolls i’d had since childhood...there’s not really anything left, and certainly not anything that’ll solve this
Two commissions for minimalistfish -one of a random rain serpent, the other of their character Azelohk.
Originally just supposed to be one piece. However, while we were going through the sketch approval process, the client liked the top sketch so much they asked me to finish it up, while also doing a second piece for the commissioned character.
Turned out to be a lot of fun, even if it got delayed by a hurt hand.

within reason, anyway. a lot of these places you definitely get what you pay for. :/ though I've managed to track one down at less than $700/mo that isn't utter shit and has generally good reviews, that's still more than we can afford on our own
need to find a new place to live within the next month so at least current prices are easy to reckon, but yeah.
apartments are generally cheaper so that's what i've been looking at, but splitting rent for a larger place as a per-bedroom thing would also work fine
