one of the newlywed rules, as dictated by the imaginary council shikamaru made up to get temari to ease back into work, is that they don’t get out of bed on saturday morning if they don’t absolutely have to. but, a person who likes to constantly be engaged or doing things, temari is left bored by his rule, although not at all unwilling. faithfully, it has led to her to one of her favorite activities, teasing her husband of only four months.
“remember when you asked me out? ‘how about getting a meal together some time?’” flawlessly imitating his voice, she drops his hand to stuff her hands in imaginary pockets near her thighs for effect. she soon continues, however, distracted by the titanium on her ring finger for a hair of a second, “i’m wondering,” she chimes prettily, like an ominous windchime, “how did you come up with that wording? if i hadn’t known you so well, i wouldn’t have understood what you were saying.”
