                   If Grantwasn’t a highly-trained spy, then the jump scare would have been effective. Butas it was, even before his son jumped out of his hiding spot, the fatheralready knew the boy was there. Still, he put on his most scared face, actingstartled, as Skylar jumped out and scared him with a werewolf mask on.

                   A hand on hischest, eyes feigning fear, he breathed, “What, who are you? Don’t hurt me,scary werewolf!” If his wife was there, he was sure she’d be laughing at howpathetic his scared acting was, but hey. Good thing she wasn’t here at themoment.

" Why do you talk funny? "

“S’just ‘ow I speak lil’ one-- See, I was born in a country called Ireland an’ t’ere t’e people ‘ave what we call an accent, mine is an Irish accent--- t’at’s why I talk funny.”

He laughed and scooped his nephew up, kissing his cheek noisily.  Zeke had been asked to babysit and there was not a chance in hell he’d miss spending time with his munchkin.  “Now that your parents have gone off to their date, what would you like to do?”  Zeke asked with a smile, propping Skylar on his hip as he walked into the living room.

          One of Grant’s hands settled atop Skylar’s shoulder, giving it a squeeze           as an attempt to show support for his son. Even before the boy was born           years and years ago, both Grant and Daisy already knew this day would           come. After all, Skylar did have Inhuman blood in him. By birth, he had           the right to choose to go through the Mist or not. And for the father,           whichever the son chose, the latter could expect the former’s full support.

Bruce was walking into the halls of SHIELD when he saw a small boy playing near the memorial wall. Smiling at his antics he watched him roll and shoot imaginary bad guys. Rationalizing it must be take your child to work day.
