She never thought she could have been so in love with something other than her career. Yet here she was, stomach turning into a butterfly sanctuary whenever she got even a glance of you. Her heart would choose to do a mile run without her knowing. At first, she panicked. It was a foreign feeling that gave her a foreign reaction. Minju trusted in Eunbi with her feeling, she told her all about the strange reactions she was getting and if they were something she should have been concerned over.
You could only imagine the confusion on her face when Eunbi burst out laughing in her face, clutching her stomach as she doubled over onto her knees. “Are you being serious? Minju you have a crush,” Eunbi said through many tears and a big smile. A crush. Minju laughed softly, it was a simple as that. She could handle a crush, surely within a few days, it would be buried in the graveyard with all her past crushes. Minju couldn't have been more wrong when she told herself it would die within a few days. In fact, the opposite happened.
The more time that passed the more that butterflies would be added, much to her dismay. After weeks of you two stealing glances at each other and her clutching her heart thinking that it would burst out of her chest on stage, you made it worse.
With a charming smile and a twinkle in your eyes, you pushed past your members and came to talk to her. At first, Minju wasn't so sure you were talking to her until she realized that there was no one else in the hall but her. Sure it was risky lying to you but she really liked it,, like really really liked it. After a few minutes of a very small conversation, your members called after you and you waved goodbye. In that moment she was filled with more regret that she ever had been. Minju was shy and had a hard time talking to people, she had a habit of coming off a little bitchy and cold. She was sure that you probably thought of her as some cold-hearted bitch now. Yet, the next day you happily waved at her backstage. Minju put on a big smile and happily waved back. That was the start of something beautiful.
You had asked for her number and after weeks of texting and secret meetings made it official. Minju couldn't have been happier she was dating thee Y/n L/N of G/N,, but,, the more she thought about it, she was dating thee Y/n L/n of G/n. You were such a cool and dreamy idol whereas she was some lame unwanted trainee who probably didn't deserve to debut with her much more talented members.
Surely you deserved someone better, someone, like Chaeyeon who was constantly criticized for her looks but she didn't let that stop her, Chaeyeon as hardworking and determined. You definitely deserved better than her. Minju had at first thought that she would never feel more regret in her life then the first time he spoke for you. But Minju had a new talent, being wrong. The regret she felt in this moment was unbearable, it felt like she was holding up the sun with her heart.
“I'm sorry, Y/n,” Minju made sure her voice was emotionless so you couldn't sense all the sadness and anger in it. “Is it something I did? I thought things were going fine,, please Minju don't leave,” you begged to her with tears streaming down your face. Minju couldn't just tell you that she was breaking up with you because she thought she doesn't deserve you. That would be ridiculous. She wanted to cry and hold you and tell you that she was sorry but she couldn't. “It's not something you can fix,,, I just don't love you anymore,” Minju pushed you away from her, swiveling on her hips she walked away with tears burning her cheeks. Her first tight end as she resisted the urge to go back to you.
