why don't you like mink? (honestly curious, I'm pretty indifferent to him)

Well, i guess if you play the route you can see the reasons. He raped Aoba 3 times and ALMOST one more time in the beginning with the Scratch’s members, and also he punched and kicked his ass other 2 or 3 times. Long story short, that is the whole route. I seriously don’t care if his family was killed by Toue or whatever, there is no excuse for raping, none. And the whole plot at the end was a completely racist stereotype. Like, some scent that make you smell nice for controlling minds? C’mon! I want to point out that i am indifferent towards the native american thing, i’m not racist, the game makes the character with racist stereotypes. And if you tell me that Aoba didn’t have fricking stockholm syndrome there i’d laugh so hard. I can’t understand how Mink and Aoba can have a good relationship, is impossible, the end might be good, not great, but everything was forced. Aoba’s feeling towards Mink, the “i have to find him even though i don’t know if he is alive so i am going to travel around the fricking planet” thing… The ONLY good thing Mink made for Aoba was helping him to save Tae-san, and that is not enough for me for all the shit he made next. He dragged Aoba into a disco full of drugs and Aoba was having an overdose and he knew it but he was all: “What are you doing? Walk normal even though i know you are high and you can’t but i am gonna say it because i am an asshole”.  I can understand people liking him (hardly) and i don’t care, i don’t like sending hate or insulting people for that, is dumb, but i hate him and is my tastes so mink fans please don’t kill me.

Why we exist.

There was a blog that shut down recently in the same vein as ours, that called out Mink apologies in a polite, anonymous way. We liked to go to that blog every now and then to laugh at the silly things that Mink fans would say. One day, when we went there, we found that all the posts were gone, and all that existed was a plea for the person harassing the mod to stop doing so. We thought that was pretty shitty. Even if it wasn't a Mink fan who was saying those things to the mod, it is pretty clear to us that people don't like it when you call out a big, rapist asshole on being a big, rapist asshole. It kind of perplexes us. We can't imagine why anyone would want to defend such a shitty character, and especially with such dangerously flawed logic. We're here, now, to call out and laugh at some of that dangerously flawed logic. Okay, mostly to laugh at it, but really, we're harmless. We're not going to harass users, out their urls, or burn anybody at the stake. We are all fans of DMMD and we love each and every one of you, even if we're not fond of your opinions. We're going to treat people with respect, but dumb things that are said will be treated with the exact amount of respect those words deserve. Want to know more about us? i'm sorry i'm sorry i know i said i was done with this last night (well i didn't say it but it was implied) but i still just need to say one more thing

okay and that's what this is about really, the whole "character hate" thing, because i got an ask requesting i tag my mink hate after that post last night (which i was totally cool with doing cause i'm not an asshole)

but then it got me thinking and like

i reread the post and now i'm like, does that even count as "hate"? cause i never insulted him or anything, i literally just said what he did. 

like, calling him a rapist isn't "hate" when he actually is a rapist. he literally raped aoba. he did it. multiple times. violently. and 10000% canonically. we all saw it. there's no pretending it didn't happen. calling mink a rapist isn't a diss, it's not "hate" it's an accurate fucking description. 

and then, when i went on to reread the rest of the post, i still didn't see anything that could be taken as hate. i never even called him an asshole (which he is, i'm saying it now, he is an abusive piece of shit, so this right here, this is mink hate). I literally just stated the things he did in canon. 

like, even mink fans should not have found anything disagreeable with that post. you can't deny he raped aoba, cause he did. you can't deny he took advantage while he was high, cause he did. you can't deny that he ordered his lackeys to gangrape aoba while he watched, cause he did. like, how does it count as "hate" when it's just a retelling of exactly what happened in the route?

in fact, the only point at which opinion came into play in that entire post was when i said that his backstory did not excuse his abusive behaviours, and like. again, even mink fans should be able to see this. and that's where i draw the line because like, saying "mink is an interesting character who has done awful and completely inexcusable things" is completely 10000% okay with me. but when people start making excuses for him, and brushing off the fact that he's an abusive rapist (and again, those words are not hate, they are literally canon) that's when i start to have a problem with them, cause that's just fucking disgusting.

but yeah. basically, i really dont think that post before was hate. \

...this one is, though, so i'll say it one more time, just for fun: mink is a disgusting piece of shit and i hate him more than i can possibly say!! :)

This should be obvious but some people aren't getting it... Basically every character in Dramatical Murder had issues that they had to overcome. Aoba, Noiz, Clear, Ren, Koujaku, and yes, Mink, had things in their stories that are difficult for some people to realize, but that doesn't mean IT DOESNT MEAN you can send anon (or not) hate to someone who loves the CHARACTER, not necessarily the things that character did.

DON'T SEND HATE OR DEATH THREATS TO PEOPLE

There’s so much drama on my dash and this really seems to be the main issue. You’re all welcome to have your own opinion but there’s really no need to force it on other people or send hate to them because of it? Also just because a person likes a character does not mean that they necessarily condone what the character has done. And if you really have to say something please be polite about it at least? People aren’t likely to respond well if they’re being harrassed.
