Hounds when unaccompanied by their designated handler spend a significant amount of time disassociating. Without any assigned mission or task they simply shut themselves off from the world around them. Not moving, not blinking, so still that they are often overlooked. An effective way too keep themselves safe from the common harassment of staff. It can be very captivating to watch it stand unmoving for hours at a time. But be aware that while you are watching it, it is also watching you.

Observing like an automated security system. Scanning their surroundings using their periphery, calculating threats.

Just like the machine it pilots.
