Heart quilt. Turned out pretty good. I’ve done this in a couple different colour ways, browns aren’t that visually appealing to me, but a lot of people enjoy how calming brown/beige is.

It barely fits a queen bed, so Imma say generous twin, would probably make a good fit on a double bed.

This was my first Shattered Star. I had no pattern, just a photo I mathed out a design for, and a ton of issues that I had to work through.

I learned a lot about formulating patterns from photos doing this.

The fun final border I used some left over scraps to do the ombre flying geese and it turned out just lovely. This quilt came in at about 80” square I believe.

This was before I knew how to run the long arm, so a friend spent eight hours babying this sucker on the machine for me to get that intricate snowflake pattern. I love how it shows up on the minky back.

I love equilateral triangles in quilting. Some people don’t because they have trouble matching points and two thirds of the seams are on the bias so they stretch.

But I love the patterns you can make with them.

This was a commission for a friend and I ended up having extra blue triangles so I put them in the border and it turned out very nice. I put navy minky on the back to make it nice and soft and of course I forgot to take a finished photo. Ah well. Next time.

My kitty rainbow Step ladder quilt! It was made from a jelly roll, a bit of white accent, and the black border. I think it turned out fabulous 💖

The cats on the fabric are all directional, so I had to be careful sorting out the rows, and putting the rainbow border together, but I only got two turned around that I had to fix!

I’m considering finding a rainbow thread to quilt this with, but haven’t decided yet. It’ll have black minky on the back too, and black binding.

Lap quilt for my dad, who hunts.

I free motion quilted it with a minky back. Swirls that look like snow gusts around the elk and some fun curves around the ribbon pole piecing. Something reminiscent of either mountains or sunshine in the border.

I do love Northcott panels. They’re so pretty.

Twin size MSQC pattern made with a jelly roll, a yellow accent and some coordinating border fabric.

It’s backed with a light blue minky and I had enough left over from the border print to make a matching throw pillow. It’s a very cheery quilt!

As a twin it wasn’t terrible to manoeuvre in my domestic machine to free motion quilt it, but the minky does require extra pins so it doesn’t shift, and it was very heavy. I think my arms ached for two days after I finished it!

Made a lap quilt for my older brother a few years ago. Kept it relatively simple cause I was still on a pretty steep learning curve lol

It’s just a panel, some hst’s (half square triangles) in coordinating colours, and two borders. Green minky on the back, and quilted at home on my domestic machine.

Jelly roll, accent, border/binding fabric. Fairly generous lap without making into the twin size category.

I put matching purple minky on the back and quilted it in meandering loops on my domestic instead of the long arm.
