It's not hate, girl. It was a serious question. How do cockles shippers keep shipping jensen and misha after what happened in MinCon 2015 ? - He posted a pic on twitter with caption " awesome weekend " even if Misha was assaulted. So insentive. - He looked super annoyed when Jared said " everyone loves Misha " during J2 panel. He joked about his assault. Disgusting.

Alright. Serious question begets a serious answer:

I still ship cockles because I am capable of taking a step back and looking at things as a whole. And from back here I see that no matter what the situation is, no matter what the topic is or how serious it is, if brought up, Jensen and Jared will almost always joke about it while on stage.

Why?

It's not because they're callous or evil or just don't care -- it's because they understand that the stage at a convention for their scifi show that they act on IS NOT the place to hold serious discussions about serious topics. They are only there to promote the show, discuss the show and benefit the show. That's not to say they never digress, but it's rare and they are probably under contract not to. This is why we rarely hear them make political statements, or reference current events that may be controversial -- they know that them taking a stance on anything, could be dividing. This doesn't mean they don't have very strong opinions on these matters, they are just choosing not to share them in a public forum.

What does all that have to do with Misha's attack, you ask?

Well if you spent the last decade keeping the public at an arm's length when it comes to your emotions or opinions on things, deflecting every serious question with humor, then you're not going to instantly snap out of that when something hits a bit closer to home. Jensen and Jared just did what they always do. They kept things light in order to ensure that everyone attending the convention was having a good time.

And did you ever think that Misha ASKED them not to make it a big deal? Misha spent that entire weekend trying to convince everyone that he was fine. He's not the type of person to garner pity. He does not like that type of attention and probably cringed every time a fan broke down crying over him. So I would imagine he'd ask everyone who was set to go on stage, to back him up on the premise that he was fine and the attack was no big deal.

And if none of that convinces you that that one event is not a fair judgment of Jensen and Misha's entire friendship, then remember this:

Friends tease each other-- ESPECIALLY during tough times because it makes those times seem a little less serious, less harmful ... less daunting. Jensen of course could have picked a softer way to tease Misha about the whole ordeal, but Jensen also has a long standing tradition of sticking his entire foot into his mouth -- he knows that about himself. He gets nervous, he takes things too far, he apologizes later.

He's human.

Does that mean he needs to be downright hated every time he fumbles with his words? Should Misha hate him for it?

Should everyone be held to such an unforgiving standard?

God, I hope not -- because then every one of us would be utterly and completely screwed.

I wonder who Jensen’s favourite is? He’s doing that comedy elbows thing on the side, but I don’t think the distraction is working as well as he might think.

I think JP is a bit jealous of Robsen also. i seem to recall i think Minncon 2015 when Jensen said him and rob were matchy matchy and JP complained that JA did not tell him to match with him. He did not look happy. These 2 (the Js) are a bit co-dependent, like Sam and Dean, and they like to color coordinate. Don't take that away from them.

(0:43) Oh yes, this is some good stuff! Jared is almost uncharasterically serious when he’s joking about being left out of the (no doubt accidental) matchy dressing of Jensen and Rob. I’m almost reclutant to say this, but he does look at bit jealous. (PS: NEVER FORGET + so many nice gifs from that con)

I totally agree with your view about the J’s - they seem joined at the hip to say the least. “I’ve never seen two guys love each other more,” like Travis Aaron Wade put it. I think matching their outfits is one of the small things they can do to indicate their togetherness while staying in the closet. It’s my headcanon that it’s something that’s important to them, even if it might seem like such a small thing for those of us that are living openly.
