So there’s a cool fight happening at Pancrase 288. Yuki Kondo and Ikuhisa Minowa are having a rematch around 15 years in the making that’s actually less depressing than most old dude fights. Hopefully they both come in shape and ready to grapple because that is something i’d really like to see. Minowaman’s been injured and paired against heavyweights in his most recent fights as well as having moat fights which are pretty cool but not ideal when you’re pushing 40 and Yuki’s been acting as a gatekeeper for Middleweight prospects in Pancrase but he’s starting to lose a step, so both are in need of a fight against men of their actual calibre. Maybe after no less than a hundred fights each, not a hundred fights combined, each, they’ll be ready to hang up the gloves after one last go at each other. These two elder statesmen of Pancrase, these two shooters, will once again throw down in the Pancrase ring (well decagon these days) and we will witness what is hopefully a throw back to the days when Pancrase had rope escapes and moon boots.

Minowaman Is going back to pancrase. If he’s determined to keep fighting i can’t think of a better place for him to go. He and yuki kondo can kick the shit out of each other and hopefully get in a sick leg lock fight.
