Instead (or in preparation) of watching Dwayne Johnson’s version of “The Smashing Machine”, I suggest everyone go watch the original HBO documentary on Mark Kerr’s life.
It’s as good as a documentary in this sport can be, warts and all. It’s personal, visceral, and all the things you want (and don’t want) to see about this big dumb sport we love and the people who partake in it.

First prestigious kick-boxers from golden age heavyweight kickboxing era (K-1 90’s and early 2000’s) , to have successfully transitioned to MMA.
He was a superstar in Japan because it was the pic of popularity for kickboxing and mma back then.
Mirko Filipovic was a Croatian fighter, famous for his kicks.
