This lemonade is great for cooling off on a hot day because it has the flavors of fresh mint and ginger in it.
Ingredients: 1 cup fresh lemon juice. 1/2 cup sugar. 4 cups water. 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped. 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated. Ice cubes. Lemon slices and mint sprigs, for garnish.
Instructions: In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves completely to create simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool. In a pitcher, combine lemon juice, remaining water, chopped mint leaves, and grated ginger. Add the cooled simple syrup and stir well. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour. Serve over ice cubes, garnished with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
