We are moving back to Australia in less than two months and I cannot stop feeling stressed as hell about everything all the time.
Top stressful boys right now: Why do we have so much shit? How are we going to get this shit back to Australia? Do we even want this shit? Also, wow, they’re taking over half our paychecks from us in July (last paycheck ever) because of tax and also it’d be nice to catch up with everyone we love before we leave TIME IS RUNNING OUT. TOO BAD. TRY AGAIN NEXT TIME.
At least the arrival of all the summer choc mint ice creams and other choc mint lovelies is something to write about!
The very first choc mint convenience store ice cream we tried was a few weeks ago and was a little 7-11 ice bar of heaven. It was a simple ice bar of choc mint ice cream with chunky bits of chocolate inside. I didn’t photograph it because, to be honest, I thought it would be pretty pleb tier. I ate my words and it was delicious.
Next, I tried the Dars mint chocolate ice cream. Dars are known for their chocolates, but they have branched out this season to bring us an exciting mint chocolate ice cream number. Unfortunately, I have also not photographed it. The first time I tried it, Kenichi bought us one each and the two of us shared them on a bench behind the convenience store. The second time, I had one with Matt because I had informed him of its Jesus status and he agreed with me.
Next, is this little slice of heaven:
It features a cookie-based outer chocolate coating with mint ice cream inside and a beautiful brick of bitter chocolate even further inside. This blew our hair back and is really up there for mint chocolate experiences.
We found this little bad boy over the weekend:
Bake do some delicious chocolate products and we were a little unsure of this iced unit when we purchased it. It’s like eating an Arnott’s Mint Slice in ice cream form. I feel like I cannot even express the ecstasy within in mere words. Just eat it.
Next is not an ice cream, but still a mint choc product!
It’s Pablo’s choc mint tart. It’s far away from Pablo’s cheese products, but it was as delicious as it looks. They also have a choc mint frappe-esque drink, which we are yet to try because it’s a huge unit.
LASTLY:
Not even choc mint at all, it’s the Gudetama McFlurry! It had a very creme brulee flavour and I enjoyed it a lot! The bits of cake were exciting. We got this at the McDonald’s at our local train station, Tamagawajosui, which has been recently transformed into Gudetamagawajosui, so this felt beautifully fitting.
