This year I decided to participate in the Fairy Tail Pride Month Exchange hosted by @fairytail-multishipper

When I saw "Erza x Lucy, napping together" as one of the prompts I was given, I knew immediately I wanted to draw them cuddled up under a tree. I've never done anything like that before, so it gave me a chance to experiment around with shading! (Though I did add a version of the drawing without the tree too because why not)

My recipient was @im-troublesome, I hope you enjoy it!

I had so much fun working on the drawing and I think it turned out quite well!

My last thunder legion drawing was pretty bad, so I gave them another shot!

DAY 1: CURSED

She had been cursed to be a monster…a demon, yet the fearless knight was never deterred.

Mira and Erza had been a longtime ship of mine, so drawing them for day one of this event was the perfect opportunity.

I loved working on this! It was so much fun being able to experiment with these two.

I’m hoping to do the whole event, but I am dealing with mourning the loss of my dog currently, so we’ll see if I’m up for it. Who knows? Drawing had always been a good distraction for me!

Looking forward to at least sketching things for day 2, I know I’ll have lots of fun even if I don’t end up posting it! ❤️

Leo The Lion

It’s finally done!

I was procrastinating finishing this redraw of the prompt at @fairytail-redraw because I was admittedly stuck. Mainly because any lineart I did felt like it ruined the sketch that I was quite proud of.

So I attempted a more painterly approach and forwent lineart entirely.

It comes off a bit flat, but now that I broke through my comfort zone and tried something new, I can experiment more with it…practice makes perfect after all!

Anyway, despite my struggling, I still had fun drawing this and I’m excited to post more art as the new year goes on!
