so normally i am pretty good about waiting for bjds even tho i dislike having an open/unfinished transaction for an indefinite period of time. but this Miracledoll head has me feeling jittery...it took nine months from my order to get a shipping notice, which is absurd when i think about how many companies have sent me a single head within a month of ordering (Elfdoll, Angelsdoll and Impldoll all come to mind) and now it has cleared US customs and the tracking just repeatedly says it's "in transit at US." ok but...it went thru New York customs and...i am in the Northeast. it doesn't have to cross the country...🥺 it's only bothering me/making me nervous bc if anything goes wrong and it gets lost it will take me another frigging year to get another one 😭😭😭 when i got the tracking for my recent Impldoll Eudora, i barely looked at it. i just want this stupid Miracledoll order over with...

also waiting on this beautiful perfect custom eye order for my Red Girl project doll. on the left is the custom order approval pic i got from the eyemaker before they shipped and on the right is one of the reference images i sent. absolutely nailed it. i have no regrets about giving up on trying to cast my own black eyebases and make them myself....four ruined sticky messy attempts was enough. i hate working with resin 🫠

This is Rot, the elemental spirit of decay and decomposition.  It's a bit of a lonely job, so it shaped itself into the most human form that it could interact with other creatures. It's pretty good, but it's not perfect. Adults find it a little more unsettling at times, especially since its mannerisms aren't very human and it gravitates toward weird conversation topics, but kids tend to really vibe with it. It loves little kids and is very protective and playful.

It has a male body shape, but prefer it/its as pronouns because it isn't human so human pronouns don't really apply. It prefers clothes that would tend to be considered more "feminine" based on aesthetics.

Rot is a Miracledoll Ian. :)

Happy 10th Birthday, Saramir!

Saramir is one of my very old OCs, he has changed a lot over the years though. His first role was being the main antagonist of the overall first part of the story, later on unveiling the most horrible figure is his brother. As I rewrote the story several times Saramir's story changed, he became Samuel's foster father, a soft and friendly one but still acting as the cruel vice ringleader towards everybody else.

Starts with body modification.

For reference, this is Rynn. An Iplehouse Grace on a Miracle Doll 68 muscle body.

Don’t get me wrong, I very much love her body and is suits her perfectly. My biggest peeve? She hates standing upright.

I’ve wired and sueded her, but the sheer heft of her body makes it to where she will buckle at the hip joints, often head butting me in the process of posing.

I’m over it. Today that ends.

The plan? Carve out a top portion of the ball joint in the hip, creating a catch so the hip joint will click into place when standing upright.

I stood her straight and traced where I wanted the lip to be on both sides.

I don’t have photos of in progress, but I simply took my dremel with barrel sander attachment and followed the line, taking down the hip about 3mm? I went back with a precision diamond bit and sharpened the line up. The key part about this process is to go slow and check your progress often. You can always take off a little more resin, but you can’t put it back

The result!

You can see some slight divots where my dremel got a bit crazy. I took off from around the top areas so the joint would sit deeper in the socket. I did not take any from the sides, and if I did it was very minimal for blending purposes.

I went over the sanded areas with 320, 400, and finally 600 grit Wet/Dry sandpaper. It almost looks like it was meant to be. The final fit is almost flawless.

When she is ready to be assembled again, there will be no more head butting

She is currently in the process of being blushed and customized. Here is a sneak peek at what’s to come. This was a test run before I wiped her.
