more quick miracola au doodles, featuring:
john egbert/breeze, certified Nerd
quin and prite, john and dave’s kwamis
highly self-indulgent doodle of dave/turntable mid-transformation
so, in the quantic universe, ladybug has the “miraculous ladybug” power that restores everything post-battle to how it was. in the miracola-verse, turntable is the one responsible for the cleaning up, but with the “rewind” power.
rewind is a powerful move, and in prite’s words, it can “fix whatever was broken, except hearts”.
basically, it’s a warning - an akuma can cause havoc and wreck buildings and streets, even wound or kill others, and so can turntable and breeze if they’re not careful, but rewind can restore all of that once the akuma is out of the way - but people will remember what happened. if you hurt someone, they’ll remember. if you sacrifice someone else, they’ll remember. even if the material consequences are essentially erased, rewind doesn’t actually save you from your own words and actions. not everything can be fixed that easily.
dave learns this very early on, and as a result, has a creed that he’d rather sacrifice himself a hundred times over, rather than hurt someone else. this normally means a preposterous amount of time clones to serve as willing cannon fodder, but it also means he has to carry a lot of memories of pain, because the alpha dave doesn’t escape mentally unscathed just because another version of him took the hit.
today’s shitty au: pepsicola miraculous-style au
where john is too far into the closet to admit his feelings for dave, except as his superhero identity, breeze. meanwhile, breeze also has to deal with his annoying partner-in-crimefighting, turntable, who absolutely has a thing for breeze and hits on him with a lot of entirely transparent "jokes". turntable is, naturally, john's best friend dave, who remains entirely oblivious to exactly how far in the closet john is, and mistakes all of john's attempts at admitting anything as being actual jokes
it's all extremely frustrating and confusing, neither of them know about each other secretly being superheroes, and the amount of shenanigans that ensue from their emotions and combined superpowers is absolutely preposterous
(the origins episode absolutely features the day john gave dave his shades, which is coincidentally the day they met their sprites kwamis)
dave can’t handle breeze
good thing john is, coincidentally, never present to see him like this
miracola episode concept with doodles:
john gets sick, and ends up being the unfortunate attempted target of today’s akumatized peer for some reason. dave decides he can probably keep up with both hunting down the akuma and watching over john until breeze shows up.
and y’know, breeze would love to show up and kick some akuma butt, if turntable wasn’t CONSTANTLY hanging around him like a mother hen, and also if he didn’t constantly give away his position by sneezing whenever he tries to sneak away from turntable’s watchful eagle eyes.
(turntable, as it turns out, can’t deal with the akuma alone, and john has to sneak away and transform into breeze while turntable’s ranting. turntable’s actually trying to open up to someone about the hell that is dealing with all the doomed timelines, because dave knows he can trust john, but john hears absolutely none of it because it takes the entire fight before turntable can notice john’s gone, and by then, he’s already snuck back in through the window)
(john only catches the tail end of turntable’s rant, about how he appreciates that john is such a good listener, and john feels GUILTY AS HELL but then the other turntable from the fight shows up and they head out, leaving john to stew in his own guilt, wishing he could be two places at once too so he wouldn’t always have to choose, further proving that if he’d actually listened to anything turntable told him he’d know those powers come with a heavy price)
I'm sorry I'm bothering you so much, but I wanted to ask some stuff. What is John and Dave's respective miraculous items? Do they have a phrase they say to activate it? What is this AU's version of Hawkmoth? And would you be cool with a multi-chapter thing instead of a one-shot because I have so many ideas and I'm excited! Sorry again! Thank you!
that’s totally fine, i love talking about this!!
john’s miraculous is a sky blue bracelet of sorts, which usually isn’t visible since he tends to wear long sleeves, hoodies and jackets and such. when he’s in just a t-shirt, it’s visible on his left am. dave’s miraculous is one of those cool pocket watches, which he claims to have bought on e-bay for ironic purposes.
john activates his miraculous by holding two fingers to his bracelet and saying “quin, blow me away!” because he’s a nerd, while dave taps the glass of his pocket watch and says “prite, you know what to do.”
doc scratch is this au’s hawkmoth! he’s a smug bastard and likes to manipulate people into doing what he wants, with varied results. he wants the miraculouses, though, so he can fill the blanks in his powers; primarily it’s the lowkey order/chaos elements he wants full control over. i haven’t decided on the details yet, so that’s up in the air for now, but doc scratch is definitely the one in that role.
and yeah, absolutely!! i’d love that! if you have any more questions, you can always hit me up! :D
