Do you have any headcanons to share about akumatized Hal? What he was feeling, what he wants as a villain? I am invested in this concept

okay so when i was designing him the idea was that he was supposed to be a mirrored reflection of akumatized Dirk, who is the Soul Stealer. Hal is the Heartstopper. In my mind, Hal is a Rogue of Heart (for reasons I won’t explain it just came to me) and obviously dirk is the Prince.

Heartstopper not being literal but rather having to do with the soul, and feelings. Rather than taking them and redistributing them (Hal’s manipulation of Dirk’s friends), Hal simply destroys them in the first place. He leaves people empty husks of what they used to be. Which is why they can’t simply be ‘reminded’ of what they were like before Hal severed their soul’s connection to their body. That’s stupid movie drama magic and it shouldn’t work. No, a creation class player (ladybug, who is the witch of life, methinks. She could also be a hope player though.) would have to create the feelings all over again from scratch.

Dirk’s akumatized powers, for example, were supposed to do something like allow him to see soul strings connecting other people, and sever those ties to take them for his own. That sounds more thiefy than rogue, but you could argue he’s trying to benefit hawkmoth so?

I gave hal the dragon akuma because HONESTLY? I thought it looked cool. the duality of fire and ice probably represented him in some way? Like, ice being his tendency to cruelly manipulate Dirk’s friends in canon all while saying the ends justify the means, because ice is slow and creeping and cold, and fire being... well, who knows? His potential to be Hal, and not Dirk? Destructive tendencies? New growth? Dirk’s soul splintering itself?

The point being that Akumatized Hal is never going to escape Dirk’s shadow since that it what he wants. I imagine Hal was trying to prove himself be different, sentient, and real, since that was a major point of contention for the two in canon.

Of course, the akumatized hal I created was based off hal from this arg I’m in, so things are a little bit wonky. O_O
