Introducing Adira
I tried really hard to mimic the art style for Touchstarved so I could finally use these templates for my character, and I'm really proud of myself!! Her designated background is The Unnamed

Adira was left abandoned on the doorsteps of a remote temple as a baby, upon which the clergy found and took her in. They were perplexed of the appearance of her arms until they discovered her curse and the nature of it. Instead of being scared, they instead saw her as a gift from the heavens here to bestow enlightenment, so they gave her the name Zaneta di Lucia and raised her as their sacred oracle. While living her life as Zaneta, she lived her life within the walls of her temple as she wasn't permitted to leave. Her only connection to the outside world was on one special day where the temple hosted an annual ceremony in her honor that they dubbed The Rite of Illumination. During the Rite, outsiders were permitted to come in for a chance to be the lucky one bestowed with her enlightenment. Every year, the clergy would pick someone to meet with her in private, upon which she'd touch their head. She was always taken out of the room quickly after, never being allowed to see what her touch actually does to a person.
One the year of her 24th birthday, two mages arrived at the temple after hearing rumors of her powers, and they could sense the malevolent energy of her curse from a mile away. The two would proceed to get her alone at some point during the festivities to confront her on the matter, only to realize she is oblivious to what her curse does. They create a commotion which summons the guards, and in the ensuring scuffle, one of the mages touches her hand, and she finally gets to witness the madness her touch inflicts in people first hand as he then attempts to kill her. The second mage saves her and promptly gets arrested, and the ceremony is canceled as she is too shaken up to continue.
Shaken up, she would decide to meet with the mage now imprisoned beneath the temple in secret seeking answers to her questions. He would help her the best he could, pointing her in the direction of the Senobium located in Eridia.
The two would orchestrate their escape together, and he would help her forge her new identiy as Adira to escape the eye of the temple. They would travel together, only for the mage to lose his life in the soulless attack just before entering Eridia...
Adira's flower is the Hellebore, which in the research I did, can mean;
Curiosity
Serenity
Tranquility
Peace
But, from what I also found, in Greek Mythology, hellebore could cure madness, which I found very interesting in relation to the curse that the MC is afflicted with. But, in that same vein, apparently the Victorians believed that hellebore caused delirium, and as a result, the hellebore flower can also mean;
Anxiety
Scandal
Stress
So I picked from both for which traits felt the most fitting for her! I'd really like to make OC's for The Hound and The Alchemist backgrounds in the future
