But he does legitimately care about his son, even if he’s shitty at acting like a good father, which is more than I can say about Duke Fabre. Originally the text said something about “to all Tales’ good dads” but then it was too hard to think of enough Tales dads that qualify as good fathers, so I lowered by standards.

True. Especially for Zestiria and Xillia(s). Too colorful ?
I don’t think it’s that they’re too colourful, because Vesperia is also very colourful, but the way they tried to do realistic shading makes those bright colours blend together while Vesperia’s sharp cell-shading keeps them all crisp and bright.

Who starts the tickle fights - Probably Lloyd
Who starts the pillow fights - Colette throws a pillow at his face like, “Pow Pillow!”
Who falls asleep last, watching the other with a small affectionate smile - I think probably Lloyd, who stays up late and then sleeps through class the next day while Colette is a Responsible Student who gets a proper amount of sleep.
Who mistakes salt for sugar - Oh poor Colette my child she tries.
Who lets the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1am in the morning - Lloyd but Colette doesn’t mind.
Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines - Honestly both of them would be disasters at flirting and they’d produce so much cheese a lactose intolerant person would cry.
Who rearranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order - Definitely not Lloyd.
Who licks the spoon when they’re baking brownies - Lloyd, but he just takes a little lick and then hands it to Colette to finish.
Who buys candles for dinners even though there’s no special occasion - Lloyd and I bet it was Zelos’ suggestion because Lloyd was like “Zelos, you’re good with girls, right? Uh.... what do.... how do I....” And the candles were the only sensible suggestion between all of Zelos’...... more R-rated suggestions.
Who draws little tattoos on the other with a pen - Colette! “Colette, what are you even drawing?” “Shhhh!! I’m almost done!” She tried to draw a fierce wolf tattoo for him but gave it sparkly desu eyes.

Listen. Eleanor is the best character to comes out of the Tales series since Vesperia came out almost 10 years ago. Eleanor is everything. Every other party member could die and I would keep playing the game with solo Eleanor and love every second of it. Eleanor overshadows every flaw and gripe I have with this game. This game could be utter garbage and I could never hate it because it brought me to Her.
