hey! first of all, thank you for this blog!!!! You’re seriously a life saver. I was trying to find a fic I read awhile ago where it’s Ian’s perspective of the car ride home from the police station in season 5? Like he’s listening to their convo in a sleep state?? Thank you sm!!!

Hi, thank you so much! I’m not exactly sure we can be as helpful this time though... The only one I found with kind of Ian’s POV is this is the essence of love and failure. Not sure it’s the one though, cause there’s only a snippet of that dialogue, but all the others I saw were from other people’s perspective.

Comments: A gorgeously written fic that doesn’t shy away from the pain or fragility or tragedy of their relationship. Neither does it ignore the real flaws of these characters. Everything feels so grounded and brittle at the same time. The author threads the different time periods together effortlessly, too. I really think I need to add misandrywitch to my list of authors with beautiful writing.
