Funniest character: Hmm, it’s a toss between Amethyst and Steven.

Prettiest character: All their character designs are so pretty! I’d have to say Opal is the prettiest <3 she’s so elegant

I don’t think I have any particular order for these?? But yeah thank you friend!!

2: Top three villains/antagonists

1. You know I have to go with resident frog man of my heart L Lawliet as one of my top antagonists. Even before I saw Death Note I had a feeling that I was going to like him, and when I actually watched it I remember constantly cheering him on (except when he tortured Misa L what the heck was that). I think L is a very interesting antagonist in that when he is first introduced the viewer/reader imagines that he’s going to be this super moral hero that’s going to stop Light, but then as it progresses you realize that L is really not above torture or invasion of privacy in order to serve justice. I loved all of his little quirks and really weird moments and as you know L is very important to me.

2. This is a throwback but I still really like Javert from Les Mis. I thought his character (especially in the book) was incredibly interesting and I remember actually laughing occasionally as I was reading it because of the stuff he did (like when he offered M. Thenardier his hat).

3. PRINCE ZUKO I know he’s not the “true” antagonist of ATLA because he later befriends the gAang and helps them out but like….I love Zuko man his character arc was so well-written and even as a wee lad I liked him a lot. Also Dante Basco is rad.

15: Top 3 character backstories

1. Okay I know I said this already but Zuko’s shift from “kid who was abused and hated by his father who blamed himself” to “young teen bent on capturing the Avatar in hopes of earning his father’s love and respect” to “teenager fighting with his former enemies against the corrupt system in his kingdom who learns that his father is garbage but his uncle will always love him” was so good.

2. I always thought Ishimaru’s backstory was important. Like when he’s introduced he comes off as very loud and self-assured but then he tells Naegi that basically his family is broke because his grandfather was involved in numerous scandals that cost them a ton of money and so Ishimaru instead wants to earn everything through hard work and nothing else and I just Ishimaru my son.

3. FMA has so many good backstories but the first one I think of is Scar’s. Scar doesn’t talk much at the beginning of the anime and he comes of as the villain because of his actions against the military, but then you learn that basically he had to watch all of his people be slaughtered in a genocide (including his family) and was saved by his brother who was also killed. Also like without knowing his backstory it sounds like he killed Winry’s parents out of spite, but then you found out it was out of sheer panic from seeing Amestrians when he woke up. tl;dr Scar is important

23: Top 3 books (I actually don’t have a lot of favorite books :o )

1. Les Mis is definitely one of my favorites because I remember feeling so happy when I got through all of it and it was so cool knowing all of the complete stories that the musical didn’t include.

30: Top 3 tearjerking moments in fiction

1. Well the first one that comes to mind of course is when I was bawling at three in the morning watching the Angel Beats! ending. The entire last episode was just too much, what with everyone disappearing and then Yuzuru confessing that he loved Kanade and wanted her to stay with him but she couldn’t. 

2. This is one that I forgot about until recently, but the part of ATLA where Zuko apologizes to Iroh really gets me. Like Iroh is pretty much the only family Zuko can talk to and he is so afraid of losing him that he’s like crying when he apologizes but then Iroh (unlike Ozai, who only showed Zuko anger and disappointment) like gives Zuko a huge hug and tells him he was never angry and that he was proud of Zuko for finding his way again. Iroh is too good for this world.

3. I haven’t talked about a video game yet but the ending of Professor Layton: Unwound Future made me actually tear up a bit because of how much Layton loved Claire and also because?? A Professor Layton game had never gotten that emotionally heavy for me curse you Professor
