By the way speaking God of War, there are lots of great moments big and small. My personal favorites are:
Going into Tyr's vault and finding the artifacts from Egypt, China, and just the implication made everyone lose it
Baldur giving Kratos a suplex in the first fight
"You are hunting deer." "Which way are we going?" "In the direction of deer."
When you kill one of the brothers, Magni/Modi, the other surviving brother freaks the FUCK out and with good reason: in Norse mythology, Magni and Modi are fated to survive Ragnarok. The fact that Kratos is able to kill them is a great cue that just his presence alone is fucking up the entire universe by being in the Norse realms.
Atreus has this one move where he air juggles an enemy in a combo and the moment I saw it I was so proud of my son. Baby's first air combo
The side quest with the ghost who killed his dad, and Atreus goes "He killed his own father? 🥺" and the camera pans to Kratos intentionally not saying a goddamn thing lol
When you row the boat back to retrieve the chains, and the camera reveals Athena's spirit sitting in the boat with you
Atreus blowing up at Kratos after he comes out of the portal after he was alone for so long, and you look around and see the multiple bodies with arrows through them. Seriously that's my favorite performance from his actor (and there are A LOT of great moments from him)
And of course, the sequence when you finally return home and you have That Dream where HE shows up 👀
