Revisiting the Reprogramming plotline in Misc Prime.

Takes place after this!! :

Pacing back-and-forth in the hospital waiting area, shadow waits patiently for any good news, All he could remember was Nine reprogramming him but Sonic had told him the whole story.

Kiara was there as well.

Shadow held his face in his hands as he sat down, If only he had know. Then he wouldn't have done-

Before he could finish his thoughts the doctor came out of the room where kiara was and asked for shadow.

"Is she okay?!"

Shadow sat up, His eyes darting towards the door before back at the doctor. The doctor sighed before giving shadow a small smile.

"She's fine.. but The damage to her ribs Punctured her heart. If you hadn't come any sooner.. she would've died."

The doctor explained, Shadow was horrified. He could've killed her.. He could've killed a child.. The Child he had taken care of all these months, Shadow sighed before walking towards the door, The doctor let him pass and as he entered. The tears couldn't dare stay in his eyes anymore.

There she was, resting on the hospital bed. She turned her head towards him before waving.

"Hi.."

Her voice coming out hoarsely, Shadow slowly walked over before sitting next to her, She smiled before patting his head.

"You can cry.. shads. It wasn't your fault-"

"B-But It is! I nearly killed you..!"

Shadow cut her off, His oily tears pouring from his eyes. It was his fault, All of this was! If he wasn't careful.. if he wasn't stupid! If he just wasn't a dumb machine!

Kiara watched him, His oily tears pouring out of his eyes, Steam fogging up from his head.

She sighed before sitting up, it was a bad idea yes. But her brother needed her, He was the only family she had. Although They aren't even related, She still cared for and loved him the way he was.

"Shadow. Listen to me, This isn't your fault. You had no control over yourself so don't start blaming yourself over something you had no control over."

She sat up, holding his face and making him look at her. His tears stopped for a moment before coming down again, Crying onto her bed as she patted his head as he continued to cry. Apologizing over and over.

After that, He had continued to vist her and brought her presents. Even announcing to her that he had gotten into a relationship! She was so happy for him, A few months went by again and she was out of the hospital but she had to use a cane since was still healing.

The two began to grow closer, Acting like siblings even. People would tease them about it but they didn't care, They were just glad they weren't alone anymore!
