Lexi character bio:

I just realized I didn’t get a chance to actually explain some of my OC’s back story and how they know so many people. I was going to write stories, but those stories just didn’t work. These small things here and there are better.

Name: Alexandra “Lexi” Coulson Laufeyson Odinson (usually just Lexi Coulson. Only used Laufeyson/Odinson when visiting family in Asgard)

Family: Adopted Dad is Phil Coulson. Bio dad is Loki Laufeyson/Odinson. Mother is an unknown. Uncle is Thor. Grandparents are King Odin and Queen Freya/Frigga. Has worked with the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy to consider them family. Peggy Carter and Nick Fury are like an Aunt and Uncle to her.

How does my character fit with any universe: Besides local high school, Lexi was invited and attended Reaper High with many well known individuals. (Go check out @reaperhighsketchbook @reaperhighheadcanons and @croxovergoddess for more information on that. It has a lot more details and very fun)

Skill set: With her training at both the school through SHIELD, she is highly trained in all weapons and spy tactics. One of many certified geniuses and had regular tech fights with Tony Stark to prove who is smarter. While at Reaper High, discovered magic and trained her powers and continue to work on improving. Uses code name Chaos or Mischief in honor of her status as the god of mischiefs daughter.

Scenes from our August Woodland Woodcarving Workshop. Another great day in the woods teaching folks to make things from wood, use tools safely and efficiently, identify trees and generally have a nice time in the great outdoors. Some recent wildlife sightings around our home. Roe deer and kids, a grass snake in the wood store and wrens building a nest and raising their young in our lean-to.

"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."

This ubiquitous quote is all over the internet and social media. Yet not many people seem to be paying attention to the wise words of Ralph Waldo Emerson. In case you hadn’t figured it out, it’s a metaphor. Ralph doesn’t want you to actually wander off a physical path; he wants you to be individual and have your own ideas. To be bold and strike off in a different direction to others.

We wish to echo this sentiment and to speak a word in favour of originality. 

We’ve seen a lot of individuals and brands recently who are clearly inspired by the ‘New Outdoor Creativity’ trend which is great. However we’ve also seen a lot of copycat brands, a lack of originality and some downright stealing of ideas and content which upsets us greatly.

If you’re setting up a new brand or company we urge you to do it because it’s something you feel passionate about, not because of a movement or trend. We also urge you not to take an idea that already exists and simply rebrand it and sell it as your own. If you are posting words, information or photos on Instagram that are not your own, please give credit to the original source; by not doing this you are not only stealing but also lying to your fans and followers who think you are creating original content. If you’ve been inspired by another brand or individual to make something or start a project, tell your followers where the original idea came from and show your appreciation and respect.

Remember that authentic brands have worked hard to get to where they are, that at the core of every brand or project is an individual who is trying to communicate an idea or feeling they believe in. So don’t start a project that builds on someone else’s hard work, find a new idea, a new path and leave a new metaphorical trail. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, and I’m paraphrasing here: “Get your own fucking ideas!”.
