Why do you need to wait for some hours before drinking strong ethanol that is diluted in water? They are fully miscible, so one would expect a good shake is all that is needed.

If we do chemistry the maximum number of phases what could be obtained and they are non miscible even after mixing them is 3. These are: aqueous, organic and fluorous phases.
In this case I found 4 non miscible oil in the liquid nitrogen cooled high vacuum trap after removing the liquid nitrogen. I have no idea that what did they distilled while this was left in the trap, but it looks strange.
