Listen, here’s a thing I realized, like, yesterday
I’ve always had hyperfixations but I never had anyone supporting me in them so they didn’t show as much as they do today. Did I want to own 100 yaois as a 12 year old? Yes. Did I have the money, the space or parents willing to help out with either? No.
I liked twilight and “inherited” the posters my friends didn’t like. I got the books as my large Christmas present that year (I cried from happiness, my dad sighed from relief because he could order it online and never have to go to an actual bookstore) and it was great! But I didn’t get the fancy posters or the merch because I couldn’t afford it and I was too scared of my parents to ask them. And that was twilight! A somewhat normal teenage fixation at the time. Imagine having to ask for English yaoi books from parents who didn’t trust the internet OR me as a person.
So now that I’ve got adult money and I’m mostly debt free? You bet your ass I am filling hundreds of yaoi onto my shelves. And yes, I will order expensive merch if it makes me happy!!!
All this to say: I refuse to be ashamed of buying “silly toys” when I can afford to — because younger mish never got the chance to do so and he’d be super proud of me uwu
Kinda really wish I had someone to go with me today but at least I’ve got all the gay people in my phone

Day 10 post surgery update:
EVERYTHING IS ITCHY!!!! 😫 and the nerves in my left nip are definitely waking up because ouchie. I did however also get my first uninterrupted 2 hours of sleep this morning despite being on my back so YAY (we’ll work on sleeping more as we go)
No concerning swelling, no bleeding, no weird fluids as far as I can tell. I’ve got my checkup in 2 days so let’s all pray that I get the go ahead to start showering after 😂

Okay, besties, time for the first shower post op! I have never been so excited in my entire life - can’t wait to scrub my face properly and wash my hair NOT in a sink 😂
