Outside Broadcast :: Evaluation

Overall I believe I achieved a near professional style broadcast, for example, incorporating voice overs, cuts ways, interviews and talking to the camera.

However the standard to which I did these was far from near professional standard. These include;

Audio levels: The levels for my voice over were far too low, and upon review it was near inaudible.

Image quality: My location for filming was limited due to the subject mater, however the lighting condition were far from ideal what with half of it being shadowed, and the rest bright sunlight. this plays havoc with exposure levels on the camera, which is clear to see in the footage.

My interview: What is seen in the finished video is a largely cut down version of what was recorded. I prepared a few questions, but in an attempt to seem as professional as possible, i didn't want to have any paper or scrip with me as I was presenting. this resulted in my questioning falling flat or I'd simply forget the questions. regardless, id still think that it was better to not have any script to read from.

To conclude, I think i achieved the desired effect/style for my broadcast, but the aesthetic qualities could be improved, and the audio levels made equal.

This is my outside Broadcast. My story is about a man that has been married to a tree for 7 years.It is a comedy idea that I thought of randomly. I didn't think of a script so I manly just improvised when it came to filming. I felt with help from fellow collogues that it was well filmed and I had good sound and all in all it work out well.
