Rodimus
Nothing puts a pep in Rodimus’ step like finding another of your encouraging little doodles next to his own scribbles on his desk. The way you draw the two of you happily next to each other with praising messages for only his optics to see, he can’t get enough of it. He sees it almost as a collaborative collage of sorts, and he makes sure to save snippets of progress shots in his processor every time a new drawing appears.
Rodimus enjoys joining you in your art endeavors, whether just practicing or producing a grander piece, he likes to slot his large frame as close to yours as he can and doodle alongside you. For a mech who’s awful busy and doesn’t have much time to practice, he’s quite good at it. Though he’s always quick to remind you art is meant to be fun, so ‘quality’ isn’t necessary.
If ever a single spark were to utter a word of negativity toward your art they’d certainly feel the rooms temperature rapidly increase instantly, as he mulls over the idea of simply scorching them scaring them into an apology. He’s not above exercising his authority or abilities to do so.
Rodimus is partial to decorating his office with the things you draw for him and loves each piece dearly. Knowing his internal struggles with self esteem and not feeling good enough, he especially appreciates the sweet messages you leave peppered about his office for him to eventually find, conveniently when he needs them most.
He won’t be removing them, even if he’s seen them a billion times, they’re staying for him to enjoy no matter what.
Whirl
Whirl finds your artwork not only endearing but unique, and while he may tease you for being so smitten for him that you even draw his likeness constantly- doodles of his face and form riddled throughout your sketchbooks and on your belongings- he will absolutely NOT let you or anyone else touch them. You are not taking them back once he’s been given your art. Yes he would bite you for even trying if he could. They’re his little personal treasures, much like you are too.
Additionally, he would rip someone to shreds if they muttered anything but praise towards your work. That knowledge is as terrifying as it is sweet given that you know he’s NOT joking when he says that.
Whirl enjoys repaying the favor of your little gifts by scratching little doodles of his own into your belongings. Sneaking into your hab while you’re out to leave funny doodles of himself and you on your desk or in your sketchbooks for you to find at some later point. On rare occasions you can catch him in the act, but don’t tease him too much about the sickly sweet and loving messages he leaves alongside the scribbles, he will most certainly make you pay for that later.
Due to his top tier humor, Whirl finds great amusement in offering himself in various goofy and overdramatic poses as references for you to draw. He enjoys hearing the way you laugh at him as he struts around like a chicken or lays in a pose mimicking that of a ‘French girl’. Your laugh is just too cute.
Whirl is absolutely one to play favorites, and his most favorite pieces to find are the ones of the two of you together, or candid drawings of himself where you’ve written praises next to him. He isn’t full of himself, actually quite self deprecating on the inside, so seeing a little image of himself honing his clock making craft alongside precious praise from his beloved little partner? Tch, he can hardly believe a fleshie has undeniably stolen his spark.
First Aid
First Aid can already hardly get enough of you, but when he finds sweet doodles of himself, commonly maskless, scattered across your desk? He debates whisking you away to privacy immediately, barely able to resist planting a kiss to your lips then and there.
Every drawing you give him, he permanently keeps. He likes to sort through them when one of you is away, smiling to himself as he reads the little messages you leave him alongside your work. He’s never been particularly one to need reassurance, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate it. Little ‘you’re doing great!’s and ‘I love you!’s all bring him comfort and relaxation the second his optics grace them.
First Aid finds himself with you say in his lap often enough as it is- he likes the feeling of your weight and softness pressed against him- but he especially enjoys finding you drawing while sitting with him, his chin pressed to the crown of your head as you doodle away, and he mumbles into your hair asking questions about your style, the composition, your thought process and the inspiration behind each work in progress. He loves to hear you talk and could listen to your passionate rambles all day.
If you’ve been overworking your wrists, he’s quick to take them into his servos and massage the pain away. His gentle scolding letting you know very quickly he really doesn’t take kindly to you neglecting yourself and proper breaks, but he also understands the difficulty in doing so, so he supposes he’ll just have to join you as motivation.
While First Aid certainly appreciates absolutely everything you make, he may be inclined to gently push you away from leaving drawings on his workstation where patients generally reside. Such intimacies he wishes to keep private, or maybe he’s just a little greedy with his lover, who’s to say?
Brainstorm
You know how Jinx from Arcane likes to draw on all her builds and projects? Brainstorm wants you to do that to his. He frequently asks you to draw on some of his experiments as decoration, and if not then requesting you help him choose the colors and aesthetics of the object instead. He greatly values your artistic opinion.
Brainstorm absolutely adores your art, and can often be found tinkering away at projects specifically for your hobby. New desk, ergonomic materials, all the words. Some of them are.. esoteric, to say the least.
He also decorates his entire workshop with the things you gift him or he steals.
And especially loves the encouragement and praising comments you leave behind, as much as he has an ego, he is also quiet self deprecating, so he appreciates the loving words from his favorite person.
Brainstorm is a scientist and most importantly, a big ole nerd. He would listen to you ramble about color theory, composition and your inspiration for vorns if you’d let him. He asks insightful questions, following you up a few days later after he’s spent practically the entire time learning more about Earth art. He genuinely comes to consider it high art, he means it- your style isn’t exactly found on Cybertron anyways.
Little chibi versions of the two of you holding hand and servo? Adorable, loves it. “Best scientist in the world!” scribbled next to it?? Do you wanna be conjunx right now?? He can do right now.
Bonus points for science boy, he once offered to vaporize someone if ever they belittled your art. So.. that’s sweet of you hun..
Chromedome
Chromedome has a collection building, and he loves every klik of it. He makes sure to keep absolutely everything you draw and gift him, he decorates his habsuite with the lovely little doodles. He always seems to find himself tracing the drawings on his desk when he’s feeling down. He likes the way you depict your relationship with him, so sweet and loving. It’s comforting to him, he has a past that still haunts him, but you’re knack for leaving him these little treasures helps him more than you know. Encouraging messages are particularly his favorites, and he repays the favor with lots of praise. If you’re embarrassed just know that he will NOT let you wipe them off for any reason, he loves them too much. He couldn’t bare part with them, it would rip his spark out.
Though Chromedome is largely clueless on the subject of human art forms, he still diligently asks you questions about it, how you got into art, your style, how different it is on Earth from Cybertron. He’s just a curious boyo. If you lean on him or sit in his lap while drawing he will literally put off all other responsibilities for as long as possible to avoid moving you. Like a human with a pet, lol
Proudly shows off everything you draw for him, with your permission, like a sparkling showing off their favorite toy. Finds scribbles of him in your sketchbook and he’s practically begging you to let him show them off. Can he tear this one out and put it by his berth? He’s so cute when he asks.
On top of being incredibly supportive, Chromedome is also fiercely protective of your work and will punt a glitch if ever necessary. And has. But don’t worry, Prowl deserved it;)

“What are you staring at, Nauti?”
Nautica immediately perks up at your words, her visor brightening as she locks optics with you. You’ve raised an eyebrow, looking at her questioningly and she smiles, you look so cute like that.
“How you’re moving.”
She doesn’t seem to offer you much explanation, seemingly thinking that was a sufficient enough answer to your question despite you growing only more confused.
“Uh- what?”
She furrows the bit of her helm between her optics, tilting it to the side like a curious puppy.
“What do you mean what?- Oh, right.” Nautica seems to remember now that you can’t simply read her mind- though she’s not one hundred percent convinced with how well you know her- and are probably thinking she’s losing it just staring at you moving around your shared kitchen. Forgets humans can sense when they’re being stared at, whoops.
“It’s just, the way you humans move is so different from us bots. I enjoy watching it, wait is that weird?”
You laugh under your breath, “You’re always weird Nauti,”
“Hey! Okay- fair.”
There’s no real heat in your words, and she’s far too familiar with your mutual teasing to think you’re serious. But she has half a processor to show you how weird she can really get while rambling about her new scientific findings. Later though.
You’ve turned fully around to face her now, she appreciates getting to see your face completely, though she certainly won’t complain about getting to check out your backside while you work.
“What exactly do you mean by different though? We walk around the same way, or are you talkin in the bedroom?”
Flustered with your joking and how you’re now smirking at her- arms crossed over your chest- she stiffens for a klik, glaring playfully at you.
“That’s not what I meant and you know it,” she points a servo at you accusingly,
“You didn’t deny it,”
“No comment.”
The light snort that leaves you is such a pleasant sound, she adores your laugh. But you still look at her for an answer, though the silence following her lack of comment is notably comfortable.
“I meant the way you move in general. It’s just so- ah what’s the word, fluid? No wait-, smooth! Yeah.”
She taps a servo to her chin, her other arm coming up to cross over her chassis while she thinks, before she points into the air like the little nerd she is, and you’re certain if she were animated there’d be a lightbulb next to her.
“Yeah?” You breathe a laugh, “What’s so special about it though? Is it really that different?” You’re not convinced. I mean, bots and humans have comically similar biology in many ways. Why is she so obsessed with the way you move? Is it because you’re her partner? Maybe. She’s always been a very affectionate and loving partner. It probably also has to do with her organic affairs and scientific research too, you tell yourself. She interrupts your thoughts before you can dwell too much on the idea that she’s observed you so closely for so long, and the implications behind that-
“Of course it is! Your hips sway when you walk, your hands flap around so cute while talking, and your face moves in such a distinct way when you smile or laugh. And have you seen humans dance? It’s all so- gosh you’re just so adorable!”
Nauticas servos fly outwards excitedly as she talks, and she even starts to charade some of the moments she’s referring to. You can’t help but giggle at how cute she is.
“We bots don’t move like that, we’re so boxy and bulky- gotta move around all our kibble and bits. You guys don’t. Nothing that moves that fluid is native to Cybertron. And I’m a deep water sub!”
She enunciates her words by placing a servo to her chassis in reference to herself, then dropping them to her hips.
“You’re so cute,” and she flushes lightly at your compliments, as always.
As you push yourself off the counter and move towards her she instinctively kneels down, smile on her face growing with each step you take. You reach up to cup her faceplate in your hands and she happily nuzzles into them, pressing a kiss to your palm. She stops to stare for a moment, not pulling your hands away but simply contently watching you, observing the way your face moves. The way your hair looks, the way your chest moves when you breathe, the way your eyes dart from different points of her own features. Alien but so so beautiful, familiar but different.
“You’re so beautiful,,” she’s reverent in her appreciation of you, making no real attempt to conceal the way she’s looking you up and down, and you can only sense a small tinge of mischief behind it, all her actions genuine in response to how magnificent she really finds you. Her optics focus so much on your face, and her visor seems to brighten when you meet her optics. She once read about those Earthly ‘7 wonders of the world’ and she’s convinced you’re one of them.
She pulls you in closer to her chassis, one servo firmly pressed on your back, the other holding your hand, and leans her helm down more to your level. She’s so close you can feel her vents fanning against you in warm puffs and her voice drops into a softer, lower tone,
“Dance with me?”

thinking about bots with a human lover that has bright colorful tattoos, leik the ones that glow under blacklight, using them to seduce the bots and it not only works but has them completely floored,,, you've taken over my little monkey brain (i love your work so bad)
Considering tattoos are actually popular in canon on cybertron, yes I absolutely 100% agree (I would anyway lol) Grimlock actually had a tattoo of his name in g1 I believe! So they’re probably used to it in their own kind but on their little human?? Hoowee now they’re done for
Also, imagine bots having tattoos that glow like their lights?? They likely wouldn’t have the same sensitivity as their biolights but still fun to think about !
I personally think bots that value appearance (like Knockout) wouldn’t be able to get enough of their little humans pretty tattoos. Saving pictures to their memory banks from their private time together oops
I think Jazz would love them, also Swerve would think they were the coolest, hottest thing ever lol. Grimmy and the Dinobots would, constructicons I could see being all over them, Swindle bc he likes flashy stuff lol
I think Magnus would be a bit flustered by it, Sentinel and Starscream try not to let on how much they enjoy it but it’s pretty easy to tell you’ve got their charges surging
Hound would be a bit like Magnus but then he’d just start complimenting them like crazy, again Knockout wouldn’t be able to keep his servos off lol. Bumblebee tries to be sweet but he’s internally losing his mind. Arcee is a tease like Knockout, honestly I could see her getting glowing tats too!
Shockwave is confused and asks questions about how humans can do that but it’s just his science side talking, he’s just as affected by it as the others lol. I think Trailbreaker, Ops, Bulkhead, Soundwave, and Thundercracker would be flustered initially as well but Ops and Soundwave recover quickly

I think most of the bots would be initially very surprised that humans even can have glowing tattoos but after that- they’d probably give them the same kind of attention they’d give a fellow bots lights in the berth, so let’s hope you don’t have any in a sensitive place or you’ll be in for a surprise;)

I’m a little nervous about yapping too much 👉🏻👈🏻but My otp with my oc IV (she/her) is with Perceptor. I call them PerceptIV (pronounced like perceptive).
I got like my own au with some friends that’s tfp/rescuebots timeline but with added autobots and cons. My oc is a Rescuebot medic and Perceptor is in the au cause he’s my fav. I mix his G1 and IDW personalities with my au.
They meet through mutual friends. They’re nerd x nerd, yapper x yapper. IV is a medic but also an engineer and can normally keep up with what Perceptor is saying. Goes from friends to lovers. Both kinda were comfy crushing for a while on each other for a bit before accidentally confessing to each other at the same time.
They’re very sweet together. Percy can be his dorky G1 self with IV and IV, who starts off shy and nervous, gains more confidence in herself with him. She wears a face screen as a prosthetic and he’s the only one she’s felt comfortable with seeing her real face. Power couple when it comes to working on a project together. Both are kinda workaholics and work late into the night together. Dorks in love. There is so much in my brain and I hope this all makes some sense 😭

Meeting through mutual friends to me screams ‘Percy was curious about IV because he thought she was smart and cute so his buddies decided to help him out because he’s got the social skills of a rock’ me too Percy:) Could’ve been the other way around too, if thats your preference!
Mutual friends pushing them together leads to being lab partners, and Percy LOVES having someone intelligent (and cute) to talk to all day. He admires her abilities as a medic and engineer, secretly hoping she’ll be willing to teach him some of her skills too. I mean, if she’s the teacher, he’s definitely paying attention- ahem.
Mutual yapping ensues as they start to get to know each other and develop romantic feelings, and honestly I think of Percy as someone who wouldn’t even realize he was crushing at first. Not because he’s oblivious to his own feelings, he just takes a bit to realize he’s actually falling for someone.
Once he does though, I don’t really think of him as someone who is super shy. He might not immediately ask IV out, but that doesn’t mean he’s uninterested. He might even say straight up to their mutual friends that he wants to court her first. He wouldn’t want to risk rushing and feeling like hes pressuring IV, given that he doesn’t know how she feels yet, so he just takes his time to be romantic and sweet to her. Probably brings her little gifts to leave at her workstation before her shift begins, and tidies her equipment for her without wanting thanks. Just desires to be helpful and make her smile.
From what I’m hearing, IV probably appreciated his efforts in courting her first before jumping straight into a relationship. Proving he can be a good, thoughtful partner even before the two of them got together. Though I think thats in retrospect, because while they may be aware of their *own* feelings, it seems like they didn’t know about *each others* until they accidentally confessed.
Their friends are DYING, taking bets on when and who is gonna speak up first. How’s it gonna go down? They’re bringing energon equivalent popcorn. Will they brush servos in the lab? Will Percy break some lab equipment on the sly just so he can ask IV for hers? Will he break her microscope so she- They have a group chat purely about shipping the two, affectionately naming it, ‘highly intelligent individuals who are oblivious to their own love’ lol
I think Percy finds the initial shyness of IVs personality very cute, but falls ever harder as time goes on and can’t get enough of seeing her confidence and how comfortable she is around him. It makes him feel more comfortable expressing his own goofy humor, seeing as how many people just don’t really get him the way she does. Making her laugh makes him feel accomplished, almost as much as an experiment going exactly as expected.
I see him as the type to express his love (partly) through acts of service, so he would probably try to gently get her to take a break so she doesn’t overwork herself, forcing himself to take a break in the process. I think the two of them force the other to develop better working habits over time, if only because they don’t wish to worry one another. That said, work life balance for them is wayyy different than for other people, so late nights at the lab are common. Oh- what’s this? IVs favorite late night snacks are always stocked in a special cabinet just for her? Hmm. I wonder who did that?
I think Percy would absolutely love taking IV to a science museum, but I also think he’s a huge sap and would love taking her on a classic romantic date. Dinner for two, candles, the whole shebang. Maybe they go to a movie after but get bored halfway through and ditch it to go back to the lab, lol. Or maybe they go on a nice long drive, ending up somewhere with pretty scenery. IV removes her face screen and there is an initial weariness in the first second, maybe she thinks he doesn’t like what he sees. In reality, he’s just smitten, flustered like no bodies business. Excuse me when did Primus learn to make such pretty people??? Holy fuck??? He cant speak for a solid second because he’s trying not to fold in on himself.
When he regains his speech, he’d probably grab her servo and pepper her in sweet compliments, expressing how much he appreciates her trusting him like this and how he seriously hopes he gets the privilege of seeing her face more often. Emphasis on the privilege part. They both fumble out how they feel, not really meaning for it to come out but it just felt natural. Felt like the right time.
Alternatively, they could’ve been working in the lab one day and Percy politely requests IV grab something from his desk for him, and she ends up spotting some messy plans in the desk drawer. There’s papers (insert magical Sci-fi Cybertronian version of papers, oh wait that’s datapads isn’t it-) full of diagrams for flowers, gifts she mentioned liking, even experiments on how to synthesize something from back home you guys can’t get too easily here. Each one is marked with her name, a little compliment he doodled on the side too. ‘IV looks cute when she’s focused.’ Or something about her mannerisms.
She’s a flustered mess all of the sudden and he can feel her em field spike from across the room, immediately dawning on him what she must have seen what he was trying to keep as his dirty little secret. Primus does he hope she only saw the appropriate stuff- anyways. They both end up messily confessing in a way neither of them had planned for, but it ends in big smiles as they laugh about the entire situation.
Either way, I think they’re super fricken cute together and would absolutely love to see art of them if you have any! I could go on all day about how I see him as a huge romantic green flag, but I’ve typed a ton already lol. Also, this is neither here nor there, but I may or may not have written lots of Percy recently for a certain someone who pops up in my notifs all the time;)
AHHH I LOVE THEM!!! Plz Vortex’ human looks so used to his antics, I love it, lmao. The way he pinches their little cheek, I’d bite him (and probably promptly break my teeth doing so-) I love this big maniac sm, I honestly debated changing my blog color scheme to his idw colors but I’m very partial to my green/orange, lol
First Aid my BELOVED I wanna pinch his cheeks omg. He’s my favorite your honor I wanna kiss him. I have a longer form fic planned for him that I’m itching to continue working on when I can! HIS LITTLE BLUSHY FACE AHH

I don’t know exactly what it is but he just seems like the type to really enjoy giving oral to his partner, that’s just my opinion anyway. I mean he’s not gonna say no to receiving but- his favorite is giving. He wants his partner to forget everything (except him;) from how good he’s fragging them.
