I had a dream last night that included an entire episode of Star Trek TOS with a complete plot and everything. The details aren’t important, but at one point Spock said the line “I’ve been a skank since the day I was born” which is not something I expected my subconscious to come up with.

If everyone could maybe refrain from calling women in the public eye “bitches”, “cunts”, or “whores” regardless of how stupid or evil they are, that would be very nice.

also you dont even have to forgive paris for being kind of a cunt. in fact you dont have to forgive paris for anything hes done or like him at all. i offer these explanations for his behavior because hes my blorbo basically and i love talking about him but it is very valid to hate him 😭

CW: brief misogynistic language

Typed out a big long fat post about how viscerally bothered I get when someone says "oh, moms are nothing special, any woman can just spread her legs and get knocked up if she wants"

not because having a child makes you some kind of superior being that is the end all and be all of womanhood, but because it completely denies my situation, wherein I'm pretty sure I couldn't find a man willing to have sex with me if I tried. I'm not joking, I've never been asked on a date or even told I look beautiful.

It's a true statement, and I'm sure sometimes it needs to be said.

But as someone who already has trouble feeling womanly (as opposed to just feminine), it's a stinging reminder that I've failed at even the basest task of societal womanhood; to stoke the appetites of cishet men.

It's bizarre to me how some people get offended when it's suggested they shouldn't use misogynist language, or that certain words are misogynist slurs or just misogynist language in general. Imagine getting offended because someone suggested you shouldn't call women bitches.

There’s really no way to call someone “the whore of Babylon” without coming across an unhinged loon.
