miss-fits replied to your post: Canadians pronounce the letter ‘z’ lik...
it depends, really. I will say “zed” if I am referring to the letter alone but have not referred to “zz top” as ‘zed zed top’. maybe I should at some point, lol.
I never heard that before...I wonder why, that's pretty interesting.

Some do. Others have started to use our ‘zee’ pronunciation
Hm. I was looking at a statistic video with this guy, I could tell his accent wasn't anything I recognized, until he went "Zed - and yes, I am Canadian."

There's a post that gifs it that had comments from the 'People who call their sexual partners daddy while they're trussed up naked and the other person is wearing a suit' side of tumblr.
It's semi-viral, but I don't think I tagged it appropriately enough to find it quickly.
Back 2 the film: frankly, it's not like 95% of the other monsters in the scaring program look all that frightening anyway.

ooooh racism in the fandom. what are your thoughts on ppl racebending the scouts (even tho they’re already poc)? example: asieybarbie
antiblack racism to the maaaaaaaaax.
one thing that just blows my mind is that asiey's black sailor moon is only HALF of her fanart of the crystal moon family. she kept tuxedo kamen as japanese and illustrated chibiusa as mixed race. it's actually a BEAUTIFUL representation of mixed race black and japanese who r underrepresented AND get treated like SHIT in japan. and on top of that asieybarbie is one of the FEW of fan artists who actually acknowledges the racial ethnicity of the senshi in her work.
but N O B O D Y is talking about that.
no, the issue is that sailor moon is BLACK in her fanart and that is WRONG for some ~*odd*~ reason. but u will NEVER see the sailor moon fandom throw elbows over fan artists who do "realistic" drawings of the senshi and use the whitest girls on the planet for face claims even tho there is NO official iteration of sailor moon where a white actor has EVER been cast to play her. there's a whole official musical AND official live action series with JAPANESE actors and STILL the fandom cant take the fuckin' hint.
it's bullshit.
if ppl want to be mad at asieybarbie for making sailor moon black because they feel it erases her japanese heritage then they need to find a way to express that WITHOUT using antiblack racism.
this, this, and this are a few comments made by me and others regarding the way fandom handles race.
miss-fits replied to your post: finding WOC in the sailor moon fandom ...
I never understood the racisim/queerphobia in the fandom, it just boggles my mind
the racism definitely comes from the need to default every race to white even though evidence suggests otherwise. even with blonde hair and blue eyes, the sailor senshi embody JAPANESE culture and values but there r still ppl who will argue that she's an "alien" so who cares.
in PGSM they spent a considerable amount of time talking about the legend of the moon princess kaguya. OBVIOUSLY this is something that the series felt it was extremely important to usagi's characterization as the moon princess. in that case, i'd say it would be FAR more accurate to call the sailor senshi goddesses.
but seeing usagi as "alien" allows racists to disregard her japanese roots. there's no issue when they see her as white but the second ANYONE in fandom reminds them otherwise they start throwing elbows.
the queerphobia manifests itself in various forms in fandom. the way ppl write and illustrate sailor neptune and sailor uranus' relationship is SO ass backwards. they dont even want to acknowledge the way they force gender roles on them as a couple REALLY bothers me.

TALK TO MEEEEEE lifetime moonie WoC, easy to recognize the racism in the fandom.
i will need all the support i can get when i start writing meta for the fandom. race, sexuality, gender roles, etc.
ALLLLLL of that shit.
i just feel like at this point it NEEDS to be done.

They're nice and capable most of the time, but when they bring personal business to work...
I'm going to put this in disguised terms because I do get on tumblr at work; It's like Mako asking Asami to join the fire ferrets after they've broken up: Why would you do that.
miss-fits replied to your post: could you guys...

Are You Crazy?
When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money.
That’s a very limited life.…

This is cute tbh
A baby who destroyed her mother's phone wouldn't stop staring, and there was a little boy who had a different toy everytime he passed by and when his family looked at the phones he did too (And when his grandmother told him to tell me bye, he went "Bye Morgan!!", c'mon, that's adorable.)
On lunch there was this little girl who kept staring, though it could have been my lunchbox.
