It had been years since he and Raven had seen one another, let alone spent any time together.  And Tai was beginning to remember just why that was.  He had very much loved Summer, still DID love Summer......, but he also still loved Raven.  She had made her choice, and he had done everything he could to respect that....., but it still HURT to be around her, knowing that she had chosen her tribe over him, over their daughter......over the life they could have had together.

When she kisses him, his first instinct is to respond, to deepen that kiss, to pull her close and HOLD ON this time.  But instead of doing any of those things, as tempted as he might be, he pushes her away, hands instinctively clenched into fists, his eyes flashing with anger.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Raven?" he practically growled.  "You can't just come waltzing in here after everything that's happened and try to pick up where we left off.  That's NOT fair, and it's not happening."  Despite the amount of times he'd thought about exactly that, in the time since she left, and sometimes after Summer died.  He'd been so lonely....., but he knew that if he let her in again, it would only end in MORE heartbreak.  And he's not sure he can take someone he loves leaving him a THIRD time.

If he hadn't been created specifically for Ryuko, Senketsu wondered if he would have had any sort of sentience at all.  Would he be able to communicate with ANYONE?  Or would he have lived out a solitary existence, just being viewed as a sailor uniform, without anyone to talk to?

Ryuko's voice breaks into his thoughts, and his one 'eye' looks over to her.  "I'm watching over you," comes the reply.  Unlike humans, he didn't NEED to sleep.  And he tended to keep a watch over Ryuko when she had to rest.  "YOU should be sleeping.  It's likely Satsuki will throw something else at you in the morning."  And if she didn't sleep, she wouldn't be at her best.

Yamamoto looked up when he heard a voice, surprised to see that somehow Chrome managed to track him down then again he really shouldn’t be surprised at all by this. While he wasn’t sure what she was exactly talking about, his mind was still stuck on other things.

Roy was working through some of the paperwork that had piled up on his desk (loath as he was to do it, it DID need to be done, unfortunately) when Riza came through the door.  He looked up as she spoke, putting his pen down, his fingers steepled together as he listened to her.  Riza said that, as hard as it was to believe, she'd made a mistake.

One eyebrow lifted at her words and he leaned forward on his hands.  "Is that so, Lieutenant?" he asked, a serious expression on his face, even though he was trying to hide a smile.  "And just what is the mistake that you made?  Can't be TOO bad, considering."  Riza didn't tend to MAKE mistakes, so if she HAD, this time, he doubted it was very serious.

If there was one thing Ryuko had going for her, it was tenacity and downright stupidity.  She was courageous, but BRASH, and she didn't know how to temper that courage with moderation.  

Satsuki had the other girl by the throat, and she STILL managed to say such inane things.  The taller woman raised an eyebrow, dropping her hold on Ryuko as she moved to sheath Bakuzan, her back to her opponent.

"You should identify as DEFEATED," she intoned, her voice calm, level.  "You'll never beat the person who killed your father at THIS rate."

As a Kamui, Senketsu was.....uniquely positioned to understand Ryuko's body, possibly even better than she did.  So when she said that he was disappointed, he would have tilted his head, if he could.  

"I'm certainly not disappointed in your proportions, Ryuko; you might be a little underdeveloped for your age, but your blood is CERTAINLY delicious enough to make up for that.  But if you're worried about it, there are certainly ways to work on it."

Enemies to Lovers, Lovers to Enemies, and Everything in Between // Accepting!

Ghira Belladonna was tall and imposing, and most of the time, that kept people from bothering or harassing him.  But there would always be those who felt safety in numbers when they decided to heap abuses upon those different from them.

He'd been away from Menagerie, trying to negotiate on behalf of the White Fang, which hadn't gone as well as he'd hoped.  The leaders he'd been speaking to were hesitant to make a decision, considering the state of the rest of the world, something that frustrated Ghira.  Yes, it was important to deal with threats, but was it not equally as, if not more, important for Remnant's peoples to have the same rights?

With his meeting over, he'd boarded a ship back to Menagerie, trying to consider the best way to proceed from this point.  He'd been towards the stern of the ship, lost in thought, when he'd been jumped by four others.  They'd managed to get a few hits in, and one slashed his arm with a knife as he got over his surprise.

He let out a roar and unsheathed his claws, quickly gaining the upper hand in the fight, even as the ship's crew came running to see what the commotion was.  Those who had attacked Ghira were quickly led away as the ship pulled into Menagerie, and Ghira disembarked.  At this point, he just wanted to get HOME.

Kali was waiting for him when he got in the door, and he greeted her with a tired smile, wincing a little as he took off his coat.  Ghira saw the way Kali looked at him when she saw the gash on his arm, and he shook his head. "It's nothing; just a scratch."

She crossed her arms over her chest, and he let out a little sigh as he sat down at the table, telling her what had happened while she gathered supplies to clean his injury.

"Looks like I'm going to have to try something else," he said, and this time he winced because of what Kali was using to clean his injury.  It hurt, but he knew that it would be better in the long run after it was cleaned.  "I'm just glad they chose to attack ME and not someone else," he said, his voice soft.  He could handle that sort of thing; he'd been dealing with it his whole life, but if they'd chosen to go after a child or someone who hadn't been able to defend themselves, it could have been a lot worse.
