I stopped in here with every intention of participating in bloggering, but then I looked around and and realized I have nothing to say so here’s a picture of Pooky that I didn’t even take (Lisa took it) and I can’t believe I have this little to say considering the current state of everything. Maybe I should start smoking weed again. I would do nothing but write a bunch of nonsense, but at least I would say something.
I know I don’t hang out here anymore, and I know a lot of you know about the honorable Dukas J. Palookus because of Facebook, but I just realized I never posted a picture of him here, so here he is. I’ve had him since March 31 and he’s pretty much the piece that’s been missing from the last three years. Also, Lisa took the picture. Full credit. Look how beautiful he is. He’s @dukeprunes on instagram if that’s your kind of thing.
I don’t remember what portion of the internet I told about Mr. Palookus Pants and his condition, but his heartworm was never fully cleared up. He was treated in February, but he tested positive again a couple of weeks ago, so he needs to be treated again (this time with a split protocol, whatever that means). Since I rescued the dog and it was known at the time that he had heartworm, I felt it was the responsibility of the rescue to cover the treatment for it. I was prepared for a battle with them, but they actually agreed to pay for the treatment immediately so I got all worked up for nothing. Anyway, we’re taking him to Plymouth, MA to start treatment tomorrow, and I figured while we are there I’ll take Lisa to Plymouth Rock so she can see where Columbus landed.
A Christmas Carol @trinityrep
Lisa’s boy is listening to this. See how long you can last.
The Birds Are Shitting On My Fence.
There are hundreds of them and there are no bushes left in the yard because I ripped them all out to put up the fence so now instead of sitting in the bushes and shitting they’re sitting on my fence and shitting and if they think I won’t climb a tree and shit in their nests then they clearly don’t follow me on Tumblr. I’m going to a Labor Day Party today. My friend throws parties all the time and they’re always awesome but goddammit dude you can’t feel like doing this anymore. Having people over is exhausting. Labor Day has something to do with unions and I’m in a union and I’m actually a steward so I should probably be posting stuff on Facebook to learn people about Labor Day and what it means to all of us but I couldn’t care less as long as I have Monday off. Lisa is always cooking and/or baking and I’m always eating and/or fat. I bought a football today. After I purchased my new NHL hoodie for this season, I thought I was done, but then I went on the ‘net the other night and bought three more sweatshirts because NHL shop was having a 15% off sale so I said to myself, hey, fuck the electric bill, let’s buy some sweatshirts. And let’s make one of them a sweatshirt from a team that you’ve always hated and perennially (with good reason) made fun of. I think Lisa was mad at me until she realized that she actually liked one of them* and is probably going to steal it. I made a video. You should watch it. Jaws I,II, III and IV are on Netflix this month (Thanks slowturning!) I’ve watched the first two and skimmed the third one (mostly for the lame crashing through the glass scene). I’m watching IV next because there aren’t any others. I also correctly identified last night that the screaming girl from Jaws II was also on Hello, Larry!, so I have that going for me. *Islanders, obvs.
Here is a video of where Lisa and I live. It makes it look a lot nicer than it actually is.
