Shaken dealers choice for Meredith
16. @cceancycs Meredith had hoped Lauren didn’t see her. But she did. She tried to hide at first pretending not to hear any cries of her name. She had been missing for weeks now and most people assumed she was dead. Meredith wanted it that way. It was safer that way. People had to believe she was gone because if they didn’t they would come looking for her. She couldn’t have that, so she disappeared. However, Meredith made a mistake. She had come back to her home town for a few days just to see her burned down house one more time. It was just in a hope that she might find something there to help her understand what had happened. Of course she didn’t find anything and now she was face to face with her bestfriend. Half panicking the woman looked around herself for some place to hide. She didn’t want to explain what happened, since she wasn’t sure what happened. But Lauren was coming closer, she was almost on her. Her dog, Bear, began wagging and excitedly whimpering seeing the woman he had known since he was a puppy. For Meredith however panic gripped her chest tightly. She couldn’t breath. Finally she was face to face with her friend with no where to hide and with nothing else to say the former dog trainer stared in to her friends eyes. Bear was dancing around her happily licking her hands and yipping like a puppy all over again. “Hi” Meredith managed to get out even as fire formed on the tips of her fingers. She closed her eyes and smothered the flames quickly, balling her hands in to a tight fist. She didn’t want to have this conversation, she didn’t want to be standing here. But here she was and there was no way out.
