currently going through all these photos of los angeles. missing the feeling of the arid heat on my skin. i love that the weather there is lovely and boring
- need to implement swiss tournament system in python/postgresql for this udacity course project. soon as i make some design choices on how to store wins and losses in the database and how to factor in draws, i can wrap up the remainder of the functions (only three left plus the database file and unit tests).
- i have a sheet full of resume edits sitting on my desk. i’m going to make these changes, hopefully tonight (jk its 2 a.m. and i’m busy blogging), and submit them for resume review after finishing the project.
- monday, once i get feedback on the updated resume, i will hopefully know if i will actually pay for this course past the trial.
- tomorrow will be my one social day in a while. probably a modafinil day too? back on the grind after that
- uploaded any and all even remotely significant code on my hard drive to github. probably should spruce that up before it gets reviewed.
- still don’t know where my head’s at when it comes to coming up with coding projects. i guess i need to play with more libraries and technologies to really know if there’s something i’m itching to make.
{somewhere in here i’m supposed to have thoughts about what kind of job i want to apply to, but the truth is i don’t know how to define my current career objectives apart from “must be at least 50% coding”}
- been futzing a lot with my art, maybe once this course is over i should really turn up the heat on gamedev again? i’ve got some cool tutorials bookmarked from unity and on http://www.creativebloq.com/ and p.s. blizzard has open positions that require cover letters dkadfhkjfaklhafadsjflk;
- in music news, recorded a song this week, scrapped a major EP idea i was harboring, going back to drawing board to think about instrumentation. wrote a rap for my voice teacher and making steady progress on collab projects.
- also power metal still is and probably forever will be amazing

- oh god i’m blogging hard i wish i had a cat to talk to. hey maybe i can go play with them at the shelter
been smoking again lately but i’m out of weed. no cigarettes since last week. barely been drinking lately which is great. don’t think i’ve let bad habits get out of hand this week (unless you count blogging and buffy) and i’m not feeling too anxious or fucked up. helps that i’ve been remaining reaaally regular in my routine to the point of being a shut-in. plenty of comics to catch up on, and i’m meeting up with someone from okc tomorrow though! and graveyard girl wants to watch liquid sky with me.
thing r pretty good, despite continuing to be broke and not building most of those daily skill-building habits i was hoping for. except for end-of-the-day feelings writing and the occasional sketching or songwriting. oh well, progress isn’t linear etc etc
