so a friend saw my lost primarch designs and commissioned me to draw more of them and make up lore, this gave me a good opportunity to flesh out their designs and backstories(or like, at least attempt to?).
my first lost primarch is Dawn-son Skan - the name being self explanatory, he came from the sky and crashed on his planet at dawn. his legion is Native American Apache inspired, i really wanted earthy warm colors and accents of bright ones. Apache armor is very decorative and beautiful and i tried to incorporate that as much as possible, though i put in the imperial aquila in there too (see his face paint). his legion is the Sky Watchers, the symbol of their legion is the Apache symbol for the healers eye. i guess, i want their legion to be adept at medicine and healing wounds as well as warfare. they are capable of outlasting an enemy whilst continually repairing damages taken, wear down the enemy by attrition and occasionally delivering a quick and powerful blow.
my next lost primarch is Alssaqr - which is Arabic for Falcon (im sorry, its so unoriginal), crashed on his planet which is mostly desert terrain and was raised by an old huntress who hunted with falcons. his legion is ME inspired, ME armor is layered and simple but intricate in the smallest details, it was fun to design. i also wanted to use clean white/beige with regal colors. his legion is the Desert Wings and their symbol is the falcon (lets just say he really likes birds ok). i imagined their legion specializing in lightning fast attacks like the white scars but prefer to attack strategic points in order to defeat the enemy as quickly and as cleanly as possible. his legion is very strategy heavy, everything from terrain to the weather is considered when delivering an attack.
also, i found this really cute SM template coloring thing and that was alot of fun. im sorry if i got some stuff wrong, culture wise, my only reference was google and i really tried guys. i showed this to my friend though, he loved it.
