I remember mom only using "Joy" dishwashing liquid. If we brought anything different home from the store, it was unacceptable. It is a good brand; but when I got married and started my own household, I recall deciding to choose another brand of dish detergent. Guess it was my way of "proclaiming my independence." Well, momma has gone on to be with the Lord now. I miss her so.😞 But I learned so many things from her that I still practice even to this day... sewing, gardening, having beautiful houseplants, keeping my home in order, being faithful in church and serving my family well. Guess what dishwashing liquid I'm now using? ... "Joy" 😄... Really #MissingMyMomma. #AnythingToFeelCloseToHer. BESIDES...We could all use a little "JOY" these days... Today would have been my mom’s 67th Birthday and God knows there’s not a day that goes by I don’t think about how much I love and miss her and my dad. Usually I want to be the first to post a happy birthday shout out and this year I decided to keep it more intimate. I shared a mini strawberry cheesecake (one of her favs) with my husband, bought her an orchid and card while I spent the day focusing on her love and trying not to be sad. I broke down eventually and I needed to let it out. I’m ending my day celebrating the life of a wonderful mother and friend who greatly inspired me to be and do anything I want to do.
