And on this glorious day, the Team Magma Squad was finally completed! Thankfully, the grand prize isn’t a dangerous Primal Pokémon– it’s a welcome party, over at the Masterlist! Make sure you say hello to everyone and give them a follow!
Waving an entirely too eager young trainer out the door, Seymour gave an exaggerated sigh before adjusting the strings of his apron. Well, at least they couldn’t fault him for trying to make an honest living. This time of night the customers waned; it wouldn’t be long yet before he could go home and throw his aching legs up on the couch. Still, Seymour was restless.
Fingering the pack in his pocket, he intended to take a quick break just as soon as this woman was done perusing the store. Come on lady, don’t you know he ain’t got all day? She approached at last, throwing a pack of gum on the counter.
“How ya doin’ tonight?”
It might have been an otherwise unnoteworthy encounter had he refrained from taking a brief glance at her face.
Try as he might to ignore the peculiar sense of unease at the back of his mind, the grunt allowed it to creep to the forefront. Where oh where had he seen that face before?
For how long had he regarded Team Magma’s renowned admin as a pushover? In these crucial moments his mind wandered to distant memories of chasing her down side streets and grocery aisles. Sure, Kagari was a pain in the ass he could do without, but she wasn’t murderous.
She must be bluffing, of that he wanted nothing more than to be certain; still, her eyes suggested hatred that he had never before witnessed nor thought her capable of.
Seymour has little inkling as to the current situation between Kagari and Tabitha, though he’d likely find it to his and his entire team’s advantage. If she decides to go rogue, he’ll be the first in line to capture and interrogate her; consider it payback for the Hell she’s put him through.
"Hmm... Senshi try that again, but remember to have a hard glance while you use it. Kinda like in the movies." Brendan said to his Sceptile as he was outside in Lilycove City, practicing for the Cool Contest. Senshi let out his Leaf Blade in a stance that they've been practicing to try to appeal to the judges more. "There! Just like that! Now -- Gah!" Brendan suddenly shouted out once one of the leaf chains of Sceptile's Leaf Blades slit his skin.
"Damn it... Sorry Senshi, it isn't your fault." Brendan said as they wrapped up practice and returned to the Contest Hall. Over the years, the contest hall had been massively redone, even the way the stage looked. It appealed to Brendan somehow after one Cool Contest that he entered and won with Senshi the time when he was a Grovyle. Even now, Brendan competes in cool contests in secrecy. Not even May knew about Brendan and his likes for Contests.
Brendan walked up to the main desk to enroll in the latest contest. "Hey I'd like to register for the Cool Contest please." he said. "Of course! What level?" "Hyper division." he made his entry at No.4 and was to wait twenty minutes. "Ahh, thank you! And by the way..." he leaned in closer and whispered to the desk lady, "I ordered a costume here about two weeks ago and was wondering if it came in yet..." he asked quietly. The desk lady said, "Ah yes your costume should be coming in today... You've been buying quite a lot of costumes from her lately Mr.Brendan." she said with a smile. "She even said she'd deliver it personally to see who was buying her customized costumes!"
"Really!? I finally get to meet the person who's been making my costumes!? Awesome!" Brendan whispered in excitement, looking over to a group of girls who looked at him awkwardly that made him settle down a bit. "In fact, that should be her now!" the desk lady said as she pointed to the entrance when a lady walked in with a covered hanger. She approached the front desk and handed Brendan the costume.
"Ah! Hello! I'm Brendan the one that's been buying your costumes recently and I must say you have excellent craftsmanship. I mean what kind of technique do you u --" Brendan rambled until he got a good look at his costume designer. Blank expression, cold stare, colored hair... he thought to himself...
