She’s a stubborn and impulsive, often acting before thinking. Her intentions are good, but she’s from a very privileged background and often see’s only her side of things, basically she has a narrow perspective. She had a very carefree childhood, she enjoyed her sword training but didn’t expect to use those skills, so she didn’t take them seriously. She often would steal roses from her mothers favourite rose bushes, half pranking, half because she loved the smell.

Being a Cousland, her origin story involves the death of her parents, which is definitely a wake up call for her. She hated Duncan for dragging her away from them, and then also herself for not being strong enough.She then became intensely focused in her training to become a stronger warrior, finally accepting her fate in becoming a Grey Warden so she could find some sort of redemption in destroying darkspawn and the Arch demon.

I was really conflicted choosing between Leliana and Alistair for her, so (in my mind) they live a happy poly relationship,okay.

I totally agree with you!! Laura was treated with so less respect that I felt bad for here!

honestly I don’t get what people like so much about it? I mean, perhaps this is colored by my first exposure to him coming from X-23 and the way he treats Laura in that is...appalling. (his reaction to being turned down alone...) And I’ve seen people say that’s out of character, that Marjorie Liu assassinated his character, but I actually feel like he always had that streak, a little bit. He was definitely always at least a bit of a jerk, and he read to me like the type who could definitely turn cruel if he didn’t get his way. 

and sure, some of that is a result of trauma, but that doesn’t make it okay. Laura has a crush on him for a period of time, and then she moves beyond it as part of her learning to be a whole person by herself. 

though of course her other canon relationships haven’t been any better (angel, what’s even going on there) which is why marvel should let laura a) be ace and b) snuggle girls.

I haven’t, but I’ve always wanted to! I loved The Wolf Among Us, so I keep meaning to try other Telltale games, and I know The Walking Dead is well loved. 

Life Is Strange is the next game in my queue, though!

Hey there! No bothering at all.

So, basically you’re presented with 8 main characters, and the goal is to try to get them to survive the entire night in a cabin on a snowy mountain. You can end with only one character surviving, or all eight, depending on your choices and how good you are at timed button pressing. It’s got a lot of jump scares (so many jump scares) and it’s very atmospheric and gory, with both a stalker-in-the-woods plot and a killer-in-the-house plot. It really hits all the typical scares you’re going to see in horror movies, because it’s leaning a lot on horror movie cliches. I found it to be quite scary, and one of the more intense horror games I’ve watched. I haven’t had any issues leaving the game and still feeling scared, but I don’t scare easily, so ymmv. 

The mechanics are kind of.... point and click adventure taken to the extreme. Action scenes are all done with timed button presses. I want to play it personally but I think maybe it would be tough for me. I’ve got some anxiety issues that mean that I freeze up when I have to be the “driver” in a horror game, because the anticipation fucks with me even though I’m not actually that frightened. But other people might find the style easier to play since there aren’t just random monsters wandering around to bump into. It’s all choreographed, very cinematic.

Usually she punches things until she physically can’t any more, but sometimes sh kicks them, too.

It should say something about her that the only way she knows to express that particular emotion in with barely controlled rage followed by as private as possible violence.
