As eventide traverses into light, Suzy grows evermore vexed with her apparent deficiency in the writer’s pot of creativity. Whilst most of her ‘blocks’ ceased by themselves within several days, this particular one has persisted for over a fortnight, already. Staying awake from dusk ‘til dawn staring at the half-written piece was of little succour (as if that was not something quite obvious, in itself).
On such afflictions, the writer would visit the book-store – not to perpetrate plagiarism, but to merely repose within the serenity of writing. Because, before she was a writer; Suzy Bae was a reader. And, it’s with this very mindset that impels the female to beeline for the book-store, where a dear (if not one of the dearest) friend is employed.
“My angelic Miss Tiffany,” Greets the writer, as she enters the store; the soft bell chiming her arrival, “Guess who has writer’s block..again.” Suzy half-smiles as she points to herself, before affectionately continuing with, “Plus, it’s always a good excuse to come see my favourite sweetheart on the block.”
— ✿ As the cold seasons draw nigh, the weather lately had refused to fade into the warmth that everyone longed for and continued to provide harsh winds to encompass the frames of all those that wandered. Stephanie felt her shoulders merge closely against one another as the cold air brought involuntary shivers to pirouette along her spine . Regardless of being indoors, the mellow cloth that cradled her petite physique had yet to provide enough comfort for the slender woman. She was never one to fancy a somber weather as her emotions often mirrored its continuous changing conditions.
A soft ring tickles her ears as it notifies a customer's presence. Along with its lively tone came with an all-too-familiar greeting. Despite not being able to catch sight of the “unknown” but discernible woman, she was able to place an identity upon the voice’s owner. How long has it been since the duo have caught a glimpse of one another? More importantly, why did Tiffany, herself, allow such distance to place in between them? Neglecting her unanswered questions, her head immediately pops out of the storage room as her smiling eyes meets Suzy’s own pair.
“Just on the block? And here I was thinking I was your favourite person, period,” Tiffany volleys back a jocular response as she soon finds herself enveloping around the younger female’s frame, offering a brief but loving embrace. “Writer’s block, huh? Well aren’t you fortunate enough to have me as a friend,” Emitting a soft chuckle to spill from her curled lips, she continues, “You came to the right person! So. Tell me what you’re writing about, hm?”
