This home concept is intended to replace the outdated design solutions at Habitat for Humanity.  We propose a method to grow homes from native trees.  A living structure is grafted into shape with prefabricated Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) reusable scaffolds.  Therefore, we enable dwellings to be fully integrated into an ecological community.

Mitchell Joachim (pronounced /jo-ak-um/; born the same day as Alvar Aalto, February 3, 1972) is acknowledged as an innovator in ecological design, architecture, and urban design. He is also a researcher, and architectural educator. Mitchell Joachim's specific professional interest has been adapting principles of physical and social ecology to architecture, city design, transport, and environmental planning.

He is the founding Co-President at Terreform ONE and a Partner at Planetary ONE.[1] Dr. Joachim is an Associate Professor at NYU,[2] and the European Graduate School.[3] Previously he was the Frank Gehry Chair at University of Toronto.[4] Earlier, he was faculty at Pratt, Columbia, Syracuse, Washington, and Parsons. Formerly he worked as an architect for Gehry Partners,[5] and Pei Cobb Freed.[6]
