#3 for each category for the Tav asks!
Does your Tav have any comments or advice when you recruit other companions?
Let’s go with some little dialogue snippets on him remarking on fellow companions.
- Shadowheart: She seems to have a good head on her shoulders, that one. Still, shadows cling to her in a way that… unsettles me, to say the least. I would stay on my guard, if I were you.
- Astarion:
- If the player failed the perception check & got jumped: He didn’t hurt you, did he? His grip on that dagger was atrocious, are you sure you weren’t nicked at all? You’re sure you’re alright?
- If the player succeeded the perception check: A strange one, that Astarion. Good on you for seeing through the boar ruse. I would keep a close eye on him going forward— the little elfling clearly has a conniving side.
- Gale: The Wizard of Waterdeep! You would think a mage as powerful as he claims to be could have unstuck himself from that broken portal on his own merits, eh? Ah, I’m sure he was simply overwhelmed in the moment. He’s lucky we happened along his path, else he’d still be stuck in that rock.
- Lae’zel: I must admit, I’m unfamiliar with the githyanki people. Do you suppose they’re all so… blunt? I must admit, it’s rather refreshing! I love the Fair Folk, but trying to get a straight answer from one of us is like trying to carve bone with a butterknife.
- Wyll: The Blade of Frontiers; How dashing! I wonder what songs the bards sing of his deeds? We’ll have to ask around at the next tavern we find. With how the many carries himself, the stories are sure to be good.
- Karlach: Have you ever met so striking a woman? Karlach burns with the light of a falling star. Good on you, for lending her our aid. I do believe you made the right decision.
- Halsin: Tasha’s tits, have you ever seen an elf that size?! What are those druids feeding him? ‘Presence of a bear’ was clearly understatement. Do you reckon he’ll share his exercise regimen with me if I ask?
- Minthara: … Are you sure of this? Working with the drow? She seems just as like to turn and sink her pincers into us once we’ve done her dirty work.
- Jaheira: The High Harper of Baldur’s Gate! Even I’ve heard tales of her.
How do they react to Astarion biting the Player Character?
With disdain that Astarion didn’t ask permission before going in for the bite. Mitchell is fine with Astation’s vampirism and with him consuming humanoid blood, he’d just really prefer that Astarion get permission beforehand.
He does warn Astarion to avoid drinking his blood as he doesn’t think it would be safe. He’s an Eladrin, a native to the Feywild, and was born and raised in the Summer Court. He’s scared his blood is either going to burn Astarion’s throat out on contact or get him high as fucking balls.
Are they a polyamorous or a monogamous option?
Oh, 100% poly. Mitchell doesn’t mind sharing at all. He’s on Feywild rules— having multiple partners is pretty par for the course.
((BG3 Tav as a Companion Ask Meme))
Your OC is part of a heist. Identify what their role is, how they perform it and -what do they do with the bounty IF achieved
Oh man, you could make a full heist squad outta my boys. Let’s say this is a casino heist, and they’re there to find dirt on a major player in a generic criminal underworld
Lead/Planner — Garth & Jon - operate the nerve center, plot everything out, create backup plans in case of failure, and provide the hush money needed to keep things quiet
Physical Recon/Intel/actually doing the job — Etienne & Jasper - these two actually case the joint. They charm their way around the place, make sure the blueprints Jon and Garth found are accurate, and use Jon’s money to bribe guards and workers
Distractions — Mitchell - the main event. The party starts when Mitchell walks in— he flirts. He gets (fake) drunk. He wins big at the game tables. He makes sure all eyes are on him.
Emergency Backup/Medical — Brynden - waits in the car with JD to provide first aid or other support needed should shit get fucky. Pretends to be JD’s partner if they need to make a quick cover story.
Getaway Driver — JD. Hes the only one of them who can drive the soccer mom van needed to pull off their heists without looking suspicious. Pretends to be a hot DILF who got lost trying to pick up his kids from soccer practice
Bonus: Emergency Explosives Guy — Mac. If they for some reason can’t go quiet, Mac will make sure they go as loud as possible. Chaos is key when you need to fall back on the loud option, and Mac provides plenty of it
Mitchell my beloved
I can't promise you fair sky above Can't promise you kind road below But I'll walk beside you, love Any way the wind blows
“before him stood a wolf, walking only on its hind legs, with fur as dark as midnight and eyes like ice. it made no move to attack, simply staring at him with head cocked aside.’
