ONE...TWO...THREE... CHAPTER 15
Chapter 15 DON’T FORGET ME
“Ton-iiii-ght, we are young…” the trio is singing their favorite song on Blake’s car. Blake is driving while the couple is at the back. They’re singing like there’s no tomorrow waiting for them.
“Hey, Blake!” Nellie called him.
“Hmm?” he didn’t look but asked her.
“Do you want to join us? We will be watching the ‘Pitch Perfect’ today.”
“Nope,” he answered.
“Why?” Michael asked him with a worried look. “Are you mad at us?”
He chuckled. “No…” he stopped the car and looked at the two. “…should I say, I have a date today?”
“DATE???” the two said in unison.
“Well, it’s not yet an official date but after her audition, I would ask her to go out with me.”
“Wow… So, who’s the lucky girl, Blake?” Michael asked.
“Shanna…Shanna Henderson.”
“The one from the theater club?” Nellie is confused why Blake would date a girl like that.
“Yes, the one I had a crush on, the one who quitted because of you,” he looked at Nellie.
“Don’t make me feel guilty about it, besides she’s a diva back then and talk bad things about me.”
“Honestly, she wanted to say something to you so maybe, we’ll go after you on the cinema.”
“Say something huh? Like how ugly I am?”
“No, Nellie. Like what you said ‘back then’, it is in the past. She had changed a lot now,” Blake assured Nellie.
“Oh…Okay,” she smiled.
“So, that makes it Blake as the luckiest guy in the world?” Michael commented.
“Oh, yeah?” Nellie raised a brow on Michael.
“Well, of course I’m the luckiest of the luckiest for having Nellie.”
Nellie smiled and trapped Michael on her arms. Blake continued driving. They got to their destination.
“Bye. See you later, guys,” Nellie and Michael waved at him.
Nellie and Michael got inside the cinema and seated.
“Wow, I’ve never imagined things would end up like this. Am I dreaming?”
“It’s not a dream, it’s real,” Michael pinched Nellie’s cheeks.
“Aww…” she chuckles. Michael wrapped Nellie on his arms; Nellie’s head falling into place on his chest. “I passed my math class. I was able to have a place in the school like I had realize that I have a sense, that I can sing. And lastly, I was able to patch things with my friends.”
“Yeah. And you got Michael Weisman, Ms. Veitenheimer,” he laughed. “I thought Blake would never recover, but I’m totally wrong and I’m glad about it that it would just take a month for him to move on.”
“Honestly, Blake’s not like that. Maybe he just accepted it and wants us to be happy. I’m grateful I had a best friend like him.”
“Me too, like a brother.”
The film had meet it’s half. Blake arrived with Shanna. She sitted beside Nellie.
“Hi?” she greeted Nellie.
“I’m sorry, Nellie”
“No, it’s really fine now,” Nellie’s smile can’t be seen since the cinema is dark.
“Thank you,” she hugged Nellie. “And I’m so glad you chose Michael over Blake. If you haven’t done that I wouldn’t be able to meet Blake, the man of my dreams,” the girls broke the hug.
“Yeah… so, how’s your audition?”
“I got it,” she smiled.
“Nice,” Nellie squealed a little.
The film was already over. The four decided to take pictures and have a road trip before they went home. They played the radio.
“Ton-iiii-ght, we are young…” Shanna sang.
“Wow! You know that song?” the three asked in unison.
Shanna laughed. “Yeah, it’s my favorite song actually.”
“Let’s sing it together!!!”
