SWANKY SPOTS AT DOWNTOWN LIL TOK
GENERIC
+ T.O.T. - I don't know why but i really like this place. Super simple and generic but they have really REALLY good complimentary-with-your-order salads. Good tempura too and rice bowls too. On First next to Popkiller in Japanese Village Plaza

+ Suehiro - This place has been here since my mom came to the states. Nothing here disappoints! Try ordering the "Kaki Furai" It's fried oysters that's apparently not on the menu but super old customers back in the day still know and order it. I don't know if they still have "Melon Floats" but they remember they had a lot of spiffy ice cream flavors, the ginger and umeshu (plum wine) flavors are surprisingly good! Also on first across the street from Village.

YAKITORI
+ Koshiro - THIS PLACE IS SWANKY SWANK its suuuuuuuuper good as well as suuuuuper expensive. This place has apparently been here forever too. The lunch special (which is like $13) has a little bit of erethang and erethang, is per good. Just... kind of small... Located on the 3rd? floor of the Weller Court.

RAMEN
+ Koraku - Seriously, ask any japanese looking dude where to get ramen and they'll swear on Koraku. This place has super japanesy foods even i haven't heard of, it's pretty good to my recollection but then again i don't really have a refined palate. ALSO it's cash only keep that in mind. It's further down across the street from the Village Plaza, kinda in between the Village and Weller Court.

SNACKIES
+ Mitsuru Cafe - SERIOUSLY GO HERE ONCE YOU GET THERE. AND AGAIN BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Hands down this is my favorite joint. It's this tiny cafe in the heart of the Village Plaza. They're famous for their "Imagawayaki" which are little pancakey red bean jesus cakes i swear they're magical. I also like to get the Fried SiuMai on a stick (its chinese siumai cooked japanesey) or the Fried Shrimp Balls on a stick. YOU NEED TO TRY ONE OF EACH. On the weekend there's always a line for these babies. Located in the Village Plaza right across from the Tokyo Something store (used to be a Hyaku-En or Japanese 99 Cent store).
