Mixley highschool AU: This is probably the hardest thing andy has had to do. Today's the day that Andy is finally coming out to his best friend since kindergarten. What andy doesn't know is that Matt also has a something pretty important to tell him.

Andy sat on his couch nervously, waiting for Matt. This was it. He was finally going to tell him. He could do this!

No he couldn’t. He couldn’t do this, oh god. Can he cancel?

Andy’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard the doorbell ring and he gulped, wiping his sweaty palms onto his trousers before he walked over to answer the door.

Standing there, tall and happy was Matt. Smart, brilliant Matt. Matt grinned at him before walking in.

“Hey dude, what’s up?” Matt asked sitting down and smiling at Andy. “You had something you needed to tell me?”

“Uh, yeah… I did, yeah.” Andy said nervously before he sighed and immediately spat it out. “I’m gay.”

“Really?!” Matt said in surprise but then grinned happily. “That’s great dude! I’m proud of you!”

Andy immediately relaxed and looked up at him in surprise. “Really? You’re okay with it?”

“Why wouldn’t I be?” Matt frowned.

“It’s just… I always figured that you’d find it weird or something… I’ve been trying to figure out how to tell anyone for the last three years…” Andy mumbled.

“Three years?! Andy you could’ve told me…” Matt said.

“Yeah, I know… I’m sorry…” Andy said and gave him a small smile.

Matt grinned but then suddenly looked nervous himself. “Well I guess if were putting everything out on the table now I might as well come out with it to.”

Before Andy could say anything, Matt was suddenly pressing his lips against Andy’s, the shorter mans eyes widening quickly. Not even a second later, Matt broke away and took a step back looking embarrassed as he scratched the back of his head.

“You…” Andy tried to find his words. “You could’ve just told me, fucking hell Matt.” Andy laughed breathlessly.

Matt grinned sheepishly. “When have I ever been one to be subtle?”

“C'mere you idiot…” Andy murmured happily as Matt cupped his face again and kissed him gently once again.

That worked out better than expected.

Pete always bugs andy about relationships. He doesn't mean to be annoying, he just wants to see andy happy. What he doesn't know is that Andy and Matt Mixon have been together for the past couple years now. Their reactions/how they find out:

"C'mon Andy, I know a few people that you'd love to go out and see!" Pete suddenly spoke up, following Andy into the room where Joe and Patrick were sitting. Patrick looked up from his phone, an eyebrow raised as Andy sighed. "Pete, I'm fine, trust me." Andy replied. Pete looked at him exasperated. "Dude, I just want to see you happy. We all do. It's been a few years since you even actually went out on a date!" Joe nodded meekly in agreement with Pete while Patrick just sighed. Andy just let out a groan."Pete, trust me I'm perfectly happy right now." He said."I know you love the band but you need someone to love!!" Pete cried out."Okay that's it." Andy sighed, annoyed now and grabbed his jacket."Where are you going Hurley?" Patrick asked, a little annoyed that Pete has pissed Andy off so much he's had to leave. "I'm actually leaving a little early to go on a date. My anniversary date actually. Of two years." Andy said. "With my boyfriend Matt."He grinned before walking out as the silence he left behind in the room suddenly erupted out. "He's dating Mixon?!" Pete cried out in surprise."I knew it!" Joe cackled happily."Will you stop pestering him now?" Patrick asked.When Andy reached the vegan cafe he and Mixon loved and spotted his tall boyfriend he grinned happily. Mixon grinned back but held up his phone with a confused look."I just got the weirdest phone call from Pete...?" He said."Oh, I didn't even care anymore." Andy sighed but leant up to kiss Matt's cheek and smiled at him before walking inside the cafe with him.
